I installed GameEx on our laptop so that we can play Karaoke on our big screen in the living room.

On my arcade GameEx plays just fine, however on my laptop whenever I open up a song to play for Karaoke the toolbar just flickers rapidly instead of staying solid for the first 5-10 seconds and then dissapears as usual. When you mouse over to show the tool bar, again it just flickers rapidly instead of staying solid.

I installed ffdshow, thinking that it might be a video issue but that didn't correct the problem.

Anyone have any thoughts or ideas....Gotta be something simple if it's working on my other machine I would think.

It does it one of my machines two that has a nvidia card. I assume the machine that's working does not have an nvidia card?

Not sure what to do for the moment, but please confirm the video cards.

Cheers.

Tom,

I checked the laptop graphics adapter and it shows this:

Intel 82852/82855 GM/GME (think it's an Intel Mobile Extreme Graphics chipset?)

Bios 2894

This is in a Toshiba Laptop.

Any Ideas would be great...think there might be an update for this or something...might look around the web and see.

Hello, mine flickers too with a Nvidia card. If you put the cursor off the screen, it stops after a few seconds.
