Can FPLaunch be used with this, or is that sort of functionality planned for a future release? Or is it already there and I just missed it? I'm verrrry pleased with this software and the rapid addition of features!

It can launch anything so a customised version would work. You would need to have separate exes for VP and FP and strip it down. Maybe will we get some contributions like that soon hopefully.

I'm not sure I've figured out how to map the keys once you get into a game in Visual Pinball? I've got the keys all assigned to handle navigation and all within PinballX, but when I load a pinball table, my assigned keys don't work in Visual Pinball? My "coin" and "start" buttons don't do anything?

You need to change the keys in the table editor I think.
