This is an AMD APU solution and considerably cheaper than the Intel options. You can save a little more on the CPU going down to the 5600K (3.6Ghz, 3.9Ghz turbo), that would bring it down to $170. You can always overclock to make up the difference between them. However you will need to scrap the supplied heatsink if you do, it's barley capable of handling the APU as is.

LOL! That's great. I didn't know they made PCIe to PCI adapters. Looks like it has to be low profile though. Since I had a major crash (my mistake) on my hard drive, I've had the case apart for awhile trying to do some work with the HDD. What I actually have is 1 PCI (tuner) and 2 PCIe (tuner) and the larger PCIe (graphics). I do still need 6 SATA though. I know prices have come down, they always do. I'll just have to start saving up. In the long run, I know it's good to upgrade, even if it's just to get fresh equipment into the case because things break down over time. However, I can't really justify going out and upgrading for the simple fact of wanting to be able to play PlayStation 2 games.
