Hi to all!

I've a version of mame that supports highscore;

mame keeps memory of my highscore;

I've enabled highscore in the wizardsetup (mame advance settings) of gameex.

And then? What do i have to do after all that?

Hi kannadav,

when you have a compiled version of mame (hi.diff included) it should work in GameEx.

When you choose a Mame-game a hi-score menu option should be visible. See screenshot below:

HiToText support stopped at Mame version 0.139 per this post. In short its likely that ROMs that have been updated since this version of MAME supported by HiToText, may or may not currently work with HiToText since the affected ROMs and/or ROM sets may have been may have been updated in the meantime.

However: I use a compiled version of Mame 0.147 and a lot of ROMs are still working with HiToText and show the highscore in GameEx like the screenshot above.

Hi, thanks for the answer. I've donwloaded this mame version:




and as i told mame keeps my highscore so i think that it's all set ok.


Then i've enabled hitotext in GameEx and i've played Donkey Kong's rom via GameEx, done an highscore, but at the return in GameEx no any voice like "High Score" in my menù. It seems to me that GameEx doesn't know where find the folder or how launch HiToText; bho...

The normal advice applies here. Please post your GameEx.ini and we'll see if we can spot something. Bear in mind that HiToText doesn't support all games which support saving high scores, but I believe Donkey Kong should still be compatible.
