Please help me mapping vpinball!

Hi there!

I just finished building my own arcade fun center :D :D :D

I'm using an arcade-2-usb controller, and although every other emulator works like a charm, I'm getting problems mapping the buttons for vpinball...

The controller creates 2 different joysticks, and I can't find how to map the keys :(

Can anybody help me with that?

The keys I need to be mapped:

Left flipper joystick 2, button 7

Left bump joystick 2 button 8

Right flipper joystick 1 button 7

Right bump joystick 1 button 8

Plunger joystick 1 button 10

Center Bump joystick 2 button 11

Coin joystick 2 button 10

1 player/start joystick 2 button 9

(this is my arcade if you're curious :D )

Hey helpman. Welcome to the forum and nice rig. :D Just wondering what kind of keyboard encoder you're using and also if you have given XPadder a try? XPadder will let you map keys to whatever you like and use those, within the emulator.

Hi there! I already tried xpadder and it's working great :D

I don't know exactly what controller I'm using, just bought a pack from ebay :D

It's just small PCB with one exit to usb and pin connectors.

It supports 2 joysticks, 1 player with 12 buttons, and player 2 with 10.

Windows recognises it as two "Xin-Mo dual Arcade". one with 10 buttons and the other one with 12.

Works great, and it's cheaper than an jpac or whatever (about 22-23 euros)

I would like to set the exit combo to both 1P/2P buttons but guess what? They are on different joysticks so I can't set them in gameex because it just recognises the button number, not which joystick is each :( :( :(

Maybe worth updating visual pinball if you have not?.

I think gamepads were supported natively from 9.13 and as of may 2013 vp9.15 is current, worth a try.

Not sure about the exit combo though, maybe AHK?.

Hi there again :D

I managed to use xpadder without problems.

On newest vpinball I can set "buttons", but not for 2 different joysticks, just one, so I can't use it either. Plus it's not backwards compatible, and most of the tables I have wouldn't work :(

Anyway, I'm planning on checking the tables I use the most, then get only those ones (now I have a huge pack and never played most of them) and change my pinball to the newest one with the newest tables :D
