I have some rom's for emulators other than Mame, like Neo Geo roms, that will display in Gamex as "AOF3" for example instead of "Art of Fighting 3".

Is there a way i can change the displayed name? I'm afraid to mess with the actual rom zips, some of them have more than 1 zip file for the same game. I use Winkawaks for Neo Geo and when i open that emulator it will display the full name of game, but doesn't in Gameex.

tahnks in advance.

Hey,

You need to use a map file, these can be enabled under advanced emulator settings in the setup wizard.

This will correct the names when displayed in GameEx.

EDIT: Fixed Issue.

I have a similar situation - not to steal OP's thunder, but I have tried to make a custom map maker. I posted about an issue with my SNES games in another thread.

So tonight I made a custom map file for my SNES games, and I have noticed that it doesn't work like I want it to. For instance, I have the game 2020 baseball showing four times, if I click on one of them, one will be for the 7th Saga. Another case in point, I have Actraiser showing more than five times, and if I click on one of them, I get a game that is not actraiser, one may be some adams family game. I looked at the MAP file in notepad and it looks like how I want it to look but it's not reflecting what is in the map file, do I need to reset my game list or something?

EDIT: I fixed the issue. Deleted my database file and BAM now all looking how it should.
