hansolo77
This guy is building the ultimate gaming console. It's not an arcade cabinet running emulators, it's the real deal. He's gutted bunch of consoles and is putting them all into 1 case, using just 1 A/V port and 1 Power port. He even built his own custom gamepad!http://www.made-by-bacteria.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=308
KRC
Awesome, Didn't get chance to read through it all but this guy has some serious skills (not to mention "Time") on his hands. Thanks for the share Han !
hansolo77
Yeah, The thread started back in 2011, I'm still read/browsing through it. There's 94 pages!
nullPointer
Wow ... just wow. Remapping that custom controller via NES cart is an absolute stroke of genius. Thanks for the share Han! I'm curious to see how this project continues to develop.
hansolo77
Yeah I was just reading about that too. Swap out a controller by changing the NES cart installed in the controller.. Amazing! Also, I found a post where he said the project actually started "Friday 28th May 2010"..(That was the day I turned 30!)
hansolo77
Heh WOW... all I can say. Spent the last 4 hours reading through his massive thread. He's almost done. He's got all the consoles installed and working flawlessly together with his custom controllers. He's working on building the outer case now. Finished with the front face plate, and is constructing the remaining sides and top/bottom. Very cool stuff.
DazzleHP
That truly is an epic piece. I'm not naturally a jealous kinda guy - but does anyone else feel a lil bit hateful that he has enough spare hardware that he can he can just muck around with it like that?! If it were me all that shxx would be in plastic airtight containers! ^^ buried... with automated guarding sentinels...*sigh*love the share tho man! tnx! celly
Holy crap that is awesome! That guy has some serious skills, maybe more then Ben Heck!
KRC
One thing I like alot is how he integrated Cartridge and CD formats, I think most would have stuck just being one or the other.
hansolo77
I just think it's great all around. Necessity is the mother of invention.. he had all those consoles and couldn't have them all hooked up to the TV at the same time, now he can. I almost want to build one my own, but I don't have any consoles. I don't know if he'd ever sell it, but it would probably go for a TON of money, like 4 digit numbers at least.
