Can GameEx detect Non-Steam games, that are added to the client?

I've been doing some searching and cant find anything about it, Is it possible to have GameEx detect the Non-Steam games I've added to there client? I've got loads of games from various Humble Bundles, that I've activated on my main steam account, and since Steam doesn't allow 2 people logged in at once under one account (which it really should for people on the same network) I've had to make another account just for that computer, so I don't get bumped off games when someone decides to play something on Steam. I know you can have GameEx pick up the shortcuts if you make an emulator entry, I already have one setup, it would be nice to just have them through Steam however if its possible.

Yes you should be able to add non-Steam games into Steam and have them recognized by GameEx. There are some exceptions to this rule, which can occasionally require that you get a bit more creative, but for the most part the process should be fairly seamless. Be aware that some games will require a wrapper in order to be launched successfully through GameEx (typically this applies to games that have some sort of precursory "launcher" window), while others may require a config (which typically applies to games that require the use of an alternate watched process).

Long story short, most games should be recognized and work without an issue. The ones that don't should be able to work with a little ingenuity.

Hi eatfreshsub,

I would just like to point out that your second Steam account must be fully activated to work properly in GE. But once this is so, then it is just a matter of "add non-steam game" in the games menu of the Steam client. What "fully activated" means is probably up for debate, but installing something, anything from Steam seems to do the trick. :)
