I did a long overdue upgrade to my arcade machine. However, after joystick upgrades and software upgrades the keyboard no longer works in GameEx. I use an I-Pac for the majority of my joysticks and buttons. The joysticks and buttons work fine in Windows, MAME, and other software, just not GameEx. I have turned DirectInput off and on, no effect. I have turned I-Pac on and off with no effect.

I am not sure any of the following information is relevant but I am throwing it out there. I am running the latest version of GameEx. I use a Custom Menu. The only key that seems to work is Esc which does exits GameEx. Hardware changes to my arcade included replacing U360's with ServoStik's. One replaced U360 was hacked and bolted onto the bottom of my Flightstick. So, I am using the U360 plugin.

Please help me Tom Speirs -- you're my only hope.

Good one ;). I will only help you help yourself though ;) You obviously have a ton of devices connected and I suspect one of them is causing an issue. Recently something similar came up where it was a motherboard USB device. So troubleshoot what's hooked up one by one and let us know.

Cheers.

Tom.

I turned of DirectInput and no change. But when I disabled DirectInput and I-Pac support the buttons worked but only occasionally.

So, now I am getting a response but it is a stuttered response.

Ok, I turned of support for the Game Controller support, which stopped DirectInput from loaded, which fixed the stuttering problem. I am not sure this is my desire result because I occasionally use the game pads to play. Maybe there is something wrong with the dongle. Thanks for the help.
