Hi JCGamer

What emulator (and what version of the emulator) is this occurring with? I'm taking a wild guess that it's probably Project64, but it would still help to know what version we're talking about. I may ask to see the emulator config you're using for this one, but let's talk about the emulator first. It sounds like this may be more of an emulator issue than a GameEx issue. Try this:

  • Run one of the games through GameEx and exit GameEx
  • Go to Start Menu > All Programs > GameEx > Utilities > Run Last Game

Can you duplicate the issue with the above steps? This will likely mean that the problem is with the emulator itself. Even then, we may still be able to do something to address the issue, but all the same, the first thing we need to talk about is which emulator and version you're using.

Thanks man!

I have Project1.6 with new Plugin Glide64 Final May 8,2012 and I got the emu from the game ex download section. btw when JaboD3D8 1.6 for project 64 is active everything runing smooth but I want to do is run the game in hiress texter but some how the Glide64 have to run the rice format to load THE LEGEND OF ZELDA_HIRESTEXTURES.dat becuase that high texture for the zelda game. but not only that game but other game wont show up as well even tho they dont have the high texture for it. I also use Glide64 for Blast Corps Game becuase the game run its full texture perfcety if I run the jaboD3D8 1.6 for project 64 the girl wont show up on the corner. that reason I use Glide64 Final plugin to run must my game in perfect setting but I cant get to show up on the screen at all :(

Oooh ... Sorry man I misunderstood. I though the issue was that you were getting a 'pop-up- window as the game was loading. I didn't realize that it wasn't working at all.

Sorry guy, you've happened to catch me at a time when I'm putting in a lot of late night hours for my job. Afraid I don't have much time at the moment for anything other than these hit-and-run forum posts. I may have some extra time this weekend. In the meantime, I'll look into the issue. If you have a moment, would you mind uploading your emulator config for Project64? That may shed some light, but I'm pretty sure the emulator is the problem here.

Also what video card and OS (32 bit or 64 bit) are you running?

Hi JCGamer,

Try changing to compiler or interpeter - there is a known problem with P64 and the Glide Plugin as outlined in this post by a P64 admin :)

You may need to upgrade to 1.7 but it seemed to work for them.

that not cause of it. when I Play the emulator with glide64 its run good with no problem for 1.6 also 1.7 have LOT problem that why I stick with the one I got, so there for what cuasing is that GameEx its not letting the game to show up at with glide and emulator u see. okay let me explain okay in order for the Hires texture to show up the glide64 have the settting with rice format merge with in the plugin and load the Hires texture for the game to show up.

here a picture when its in window mode

window-9_zpsde45b2f4.png

and at this time when the window finish uploadin the hires texture the emulator goes to fullscreen automatic. but the problem is that when I told gameex for the setting on *no show desktop* and run the game but I get Black screen and you dont see the game at all but you can haer the sound from the game but I think its has to do something with GameEX setting and the plugin I choose .but sure I can forget the hole thing and stick with jabo D3D8 1.6 plugin but the probem is GameEx dont like the glide64 at all. so Im trying figure another methon for it to show up. but when you do play them on HIres moded setting is freaking cool here what the Glide 64 can do

here a game called Blazt corp this game is a none hires texture but glide64 fix these texture

Jabo D3D9 1.6 on Blast corp you can see that car and trackter are brokin into pease

Glide64 final with fixed texture. the car and trackter is in place

Hi JCGamer

What happens if you simply set Show Desktop to True?

Remember that the help text of the Show Desktop setting actually advises against using it under most circumstances

ShowDesktop will allow the Desktop to be shown instead of a black screen. Unless the application is a full screen DirectX Application or if you just get a black screen set ShowDesktop to True.

I know you're trying to avoid any unwanted popup windows while the game is loading, but if that's the only way it will load correctly I'm afraid you may be stuck with it.

Good luck man, hopefully we can get you up and running.
