can't get all my games to show in gameex

I'm running mame32 and when i run it on it's own all my games run fine but when i us gameex with the same emulator only like 6 out of 1000 show up. The other problem is if a game does show up in the list in gameex it won't play but again if i use mame32 on its own it starts up fine.I am a registered user if that makes any difference. here is the config i have it set to.

Please verify the following:

1) Your romset matches the version of MAME you are using. I see it is 0.145

2) Your roms and MAME itself are in the locations specified:

RomPath=C:\Roms\MAME\Roms
SnapPath=C:\Assets\MAME\Snaps
TitlePath=C:\Assets\MAME\Titles
BoxPath=C:\Assets\MAME\Boxes
CartPath=C:\Assets\MAME\Cartridges
ManualPath=C:\Assets\MAME\Manuals
ControlPanelPath=C:\Assets\MAME\Controls
WorkingPath=C:\Emulators\MAME

if not either move them to these locations, or point GameEx to the correct locations.

Once you are 100% sure of the above, load GE, go to MAME, scroll all the way down and click on "Update List"

Hi allhonda!

DazzleHP's advice is excellent, but I would recommend one additional step. It appears that you've got MAME setup as a 'standard' emulator in GameEx (in other words you used the following screen(s) to setup MAME in the Setup Wizard). There's nothing inherently wrong with that, but you might find it much easier to use the dedicated MAME section within the Setup Wizard. GameEx has a lot of functionality devoted specifically to MAME, but you must set it up through the MAME section to get the most out of it.

So to recap, please check the following

• Verify that your ROM set matches your version of MAME
• Attempt to verify that MAME is running OK outside of GameEx
• Setup MAME through the dedicated section in the Setup Wizard
• Remember to rebuild your MAME list in GameEx anytime you make a change to your MAME settings (that option should appear at the bottom of your game list in GameEx).
