NES games won't list

my MAME games load fine. i went into the MAME section and updated the game list and everything works fine. but my nes games won't list out at all. the filter says *.nes and everything else looks fine. the paths are 100% correct. but there's no "update list" for nes games, is there? what in the world can i be doing wrong?

There's an issue with GameEx v 5.70 so if your using that go get 5.71.

okay, i got v. 5.71 and am still having the eaxct same problem. is this happening with anyone else. i double checked everything and can't find anything wrong with my paths or filters. this is frustrating.

Try putting a semicolon after "*.nes" - even if there is no other filter after it.

that didn't do it. but i finally got it. when i left the games zipped and set the filter for *.zip, everything worked fine. i know that it was set up correctly before, but, whatever. as long as it works.
