warcraft III and republic commando not loading

I am having a difficult time with warcraft III and Republic commando. Thery both will not load from gameex. I thought at first it was an issue with the splash screen that shows up when you launch the EXE, but the expansion for warcraft III works and it does the same thing. Its strange that the expansion works but the original game will not. It goes to a blank screen and then reloads gameex. I turned off the hide desktop and icons in the tweaks config and made sure the show desktop was on under the config, but it still happens.

any ideas? Can I disable the splash screens? I tried it with the normal exe and a game fix so I don't need to use the cd. Both did not work. I re-installed both from the original discs and tried it to no avail. They both work flawlessly out of gameex, but that doesn't help me.

even without the expansion loaded warcraft STILL won't load, yet the expansion does. I dunno...

Any guesses?

Could just be the paths in the external applications, If they arent right you'll get kicked back to gameex.

Heres what the path and command should look like.

App 3 Path: C:\Games\Colin Mcrae Rally 4

App 3 CMD: cmr4.exe

no..The paths are all correct. They just both won't load. They kick me back to gameex. I think it's something to do with the splash screen the game loads first
