I recently purchsed a bluetooth USB dongle and I am about to start attempting to make my wiimotes and PS3 controllers work on my computer.

I've been reading quite a bit of tutorials on the subject and they all seem to vary slightly from one another. I am wondering if anyone can direct me to a good tutorial for using Wiimote with MAME/Emulators, using PS3 controller with MAME and building your own wireless sensor bar.

I have MAME .144 and I saw there were issues with MAME versions after.117 if you want to use the wiimote as a light gun? It all seems slightly confusing and I am just looking for a step by step on how to make it work. I think I will eventually buy the arcade guns or the guns on ultimarcs website. I just think it might be fun to use the Wiimote on NES games and such.

If anyone knows of anything. Thanks!

For Dolphin and Wii emulation, get yourself a wireless IR sensor bar. I purchased mine for around $8.00. Mine however, chews through AA batteries like wicked fast. I only really use it when I play NSMB, the others my cp controls.

There was, and still is for me an issue of auto loading the Wiimotes upon game launch. I still have to connect the Wiimote outside of GameEx, onto the bluetooth then on Dolphin itself. A huge hassle. Still havent been able to figure it out honestly

There is a program called GlovePie you should look into also. It can also make your Wiimote as a mouse for Windows and other such things.

I use motionjoy to connect my PS3 controller via bluetooth. The latest version is 0.7.1001 , but I rolled back to the previous version 0.6.0005, as it did not work as well.

Motionjoy has profiles where windows will see it as the following controllers:

PS1

PS2

PS3

Xbox360 (emulated)

It works very well in my setup.
