Just wondering about people's experience with this emulator. I have a few PSP games that I'd like to add to the cab. How well does it work? Is it a beast as far as specs go? Is there a better alternative somewhere?

Thoughts?

I have been using it recently, and currently it is the best PSP emulator. Depending on the game, you will get varying results. Some will run ok-ish, some very sluggish, and some not at all. PSN minis work well too, although some of the more 3d intensive games may not run. There are probably settings I could try to get some games to run, but I haven't really looked too much into it yet.

You can get the JPCSP launcher which has commandline launching too now, plus has many settings you can fiddle about with. :)

This is what the devs say regarding sytem requirements:

It is recommended that you have at least a 3.0 or equivalent dualcore processor, 2 GB RAM and a Geforce 6600GT or equivalent graphics card to make JPCSP run at a "decent" speed. This does not mean that it is necessarily full speed, but it is "playable". Further, it is important to note that even if your computer has the latest hardware available JPCSP can still be slow because the staff is currently working on compability and stability rather than speed.

One other thing, to get background music and other sounds to play in some games, you will need to install Sonicstage, which is free.

Man, I dont see any KILLER TITTLES in PSP. :(

I had one since the launch, and almost all the games that I played on this machine were emulators.

Finished LOTS of PS1, SNES and Genesis games on it.

But PSP games? None...

The only one that I would love to play on the big screen is Wipeout Pulse.

This one I spent more than 50 hours playing. But never actually finished it.

If you say to me that Wipeout Pulse runs, I will try it for sure !m :D

I agree with you vsilvalpoes, Wipeout (Pure and Pulse) where awesome. I really wish that JPCSP had better compatibility for mine and my kids favorite PSP game, Loco Roco. It loads and plays but the little guy is pixelated and blocky square. Soon, if they keep up on this, the emulation will be up to par.
