Old topic, but I gotta reopen it...

Does anybody have anything working for the Amstrad CPC? Which emulator and how do you have it config'd? I've tried WinAPE, Caprice, and CPE. They all look like great emulators, but I can't get them to load up a game from command line. I suppose we could build a wrapper for WinAPE if HK was willing. But the question is, does someone have something else working already? And if not, is there a demand from others for HK to busy himself with building a wrapper?

While I realize C++ seems a lot more attractive because its smaller and faster than AutoIt...but AutoIt does allow more people to create simple code to do the job they need. Not to mention I have a boat load of source code available here to show how to write the required code, all of which is trivial.

Any ways the attached code is for Amstrad CPC (WinAPE) and your commandline should look some thing like:

Simple_Wrapper.exe "[RomPath]\[RomFile]"

I tried like mad to get native GameEx commandline to work...but never could get it to go. :(

Any ways just drop the Simple_Wrapper.exe in the same folder as WinAPE.exe and you should be golden.

I may look into Spectrum but I don't have my main PC here...and hence using a unregistered version of GameEx....which blows to work with when creating wrappers & configs as the delay really gets old fast. ;)
