Hi, i've almost finished my GameEx setup but just like everything else I do as a project there is always one niggly little thing that I cannot get my head around.

I can get Sega CD ISOs/Bins to play perfectly fine when i load them through the emulator but when i do it through GameEx there is no CD music.

I've tried looking around but can't find an answer and its starting to frustrate me because i know its something simple.

Please find an extract to my config below:

Are you loading with the cue or the bin file when running outside of GameEx? Have you tried alternative method and try mounting the image using daemon tools lite or something similar?

i've tried both and have tried getting daemon tools to mount it but when i do that even though the disk is mounted Fusion doesn't appear to see it

When mounting in daemon tools, you need to change the command-line as well as select the drive in Fusion. I'll be hanging around the chat room for a bit if you want real-time support.

In Fusion you would need to follow these steps:

  • Click on Options
  • Click on CD Drive
  • Select the drive of Daemon Tools Lite

Then the command-line for GameEx would be as followed:

Fusion.exe -scd -fullscreen[-VIRTUALDRIVE-]

Thanks for that. I think i've sorted Fusion playing with it now but when i try that command line in GameEx it just goes back to the menu.

I've tried different variants like in "" and the other [VirtualDrive]:\ option and they all do the same or give me a random direct x error.

Sorted it!

Went back to the rompath/romfile route but only used *.cue files instead of ISOs (all Iso's had cue files).

Thanks for your help!
