You should go to GAMEEX Configuration and check all the paths in the MAME BASIC SETTINGS area.

Be sure that rom path, mame path and mame.exe path are correct.

Also, you can change ALLOW IMPERFECT GAMES to enable, VERIFY ROMS to disable, USE GAME FILTER disable, ONLY WORKING GAMES to disable.

Save it, run GameEx and update MAME list.
