Hi. I've recently installed Game Ex. I've downloaded Nestopia/Virtuanes, SNex9x/ZSNES.

None of these emulators will actually run a game from within Game Ex. They all run games outside of it. Game Ex DOES find my rom directory, listing the games, but when I click play game, the Game Ex window disappears, the emulator doesn't start and eventually the Game Ex window returns.

An example of the log, when I click to play a game.

Here's the ini for SNES9x. All 4 of the emulators are set up the same, with the executable "[ROMPATH\[ROMFILE]" command.

Hi jmk, and welcome to the forums!

A couple of questions to assist us in troubleshooting your issue. When you say that games are running fine outside of GameEx, are you running them from the command line or from within the emulator? The other piece of info that would be hugely beneficial would be to take a look at your GameEx config for one or all of the emulators that are giving you difficulties. This information can be found in your GameEx installation directory under ... GameEx\CONFIG\GameEx.ini (this will contain all GameEx settings) or in the interest of brevity you can also export settings for any individual emulator. This can be accomplished from within the setup wizard. Go to the Emulator Selection screen and highlight the emulator you'd like to export settings for, then click the export button (it has an arrow pointing to the right on it) and save the resulting file.

Once we have a better understanding of your emulator settings, we will likely be able to better assist you.

Hi Nullpointer! Thank you for the welcome. :)

I'm not sure what the problem was, but I uninstalled/reinstalled Gameex, set up the emulators again and no longer have any issues.

I think the problem was that somehow I had corrupted the emulator setups.

i noticed one interesting thing. When trying to run the emulators during the first try, it just went to nothing.

When I reinstalled, each time I first started an emulator, Comodo Internet Security was asking if it was okay to run runitgame. That didn't happen the first try.

All is well now.

Thank you for assisting.

GREAT emulator/front-end!
