Krakerman Posted April 13, 2012 Author Posted April 13, 2012 Just tested and it works like a champ many many thanks!!!
hansolo77 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Cool! I'll give this a try. What would be a good wait time before sending? 3 seconds?
Krakerman Posted April 13, 2012 Author Posted April 13, 2012 I left the wait time blank as far as seconds go and it worked perfect.
hansolo77 Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 I dunno what gives, but it still doesn't work for me. I still have to click the mouse button once the table is loaded up. I'm gonna tweak the 'wait before' time. But I don't know if it's even sending it.
Krakerman Posted April 14, 2012 Author Posted April 14, 2012 Try [leftMOUSECLICK] not {LEFTMOUSECLICK}
hansolo77 Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Ok, I'll try that. Tom said it's {LEFTMOUSECLICK} though.. just saying.
Krakerman Posted April 14, 2012 Author Posted April 14, 2012 Yeah well as soon as I thought it was working with Tom's update it didn't work again this morning. It appears to work sometimes and then sometimes it doesn't. So I tried changing the brackets and then it worked, but next time it didn't so looks like I'm in the same boat as you my friend.
Krakerman Posted April 14, 2012 Author Posted April 14, 2012 Ok I don't know yet 100% if this fixes it, but so far it has been working everytime even after a reboot I used Tom's command {LEFTMOUSECLICK} with the WAIT BEFORE KEYS blank. Then make sure you have Future Pinball properties options checked: Run as Administrator and also the Compatability mode set as "Windows 7". See if that fixes it for you. I will run it more times thru the day to see if it still working,
hansolo77 Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Wierd, setting up compatiability to Windows 7 and Run as Admin seems to have made the difference for me. I was able to play half a dozen or so with no problems. I only wish some of these tables actually worked and weren't missing libraries
Krakerman Posted April 14, 2012 Author Posted April 14, 2012 Glad I was able to get it going for you (and me). Thanks again Tom for the update as well.I know for some reason having the compatability set as Win 7 seems to resolve it not sure why thou. For the Library files you have to make sure your tables have been updated and current to fix that problem.
hansolo77 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Well the problem I have with the libraries I think has to do with my folder structure. On some of these tables, there are multiple versions of the table, and the torrent creator put them into subfolders. This is fine, you just have to tell GameEx to search subfolders. The problem with this, is that it may or may not include all the required libraries. Some folders only have the table, and a creator-made library; but not all the default libraries, or the original libraries associated with an older version of the table. So I COULD copy all the default libraries over into each and every subfolder to make it happy, but that's like 800mb's of libraries being copied into each of 30+ subfolders. I could also just get rid of all the subfolders and just have 1 version of each table. That might work, except some of them have MODS, and some have different rules, etc. One table in particular I was looking to play (Captain Fantastic) didn't even have a table in the root. They were all in subfolders for each version/creator of the table. I didn't even have the table listed originally until I remembered about the checkbox to enable subfolder scanning. Now I just go a whole mess of tables that only work 50% of the time because the torrent builder didn't map out copies of the required libraries for those subfolder tables.
celly Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 If you just use the folder tree that Future Pinball provides then you should be in good shape as it generally finds the needed files as in the structure. However, I do have some .fpl files in my actual ROMS/Tables folder that FP seems to find and launch without hesitation. Of course I use a .fpt file extention in the emulator config but it all works on my end. Maybe also some of the table .fpl files aren't up to date for the table your trying to play.
Tom Speirs Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 HS, I did something along the lines of extracting all the tables to a temporary folder (select all (extract to)) then searching in explorer for *.fpl (libraries) then copying all the .fpl files to the tables folder then deleting the temporary folder.
hansolo77 Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Yeah I need to do a little clean up of the folders. It's no big deal since they mostly all work as it is. I wanted to keep the simple navigation structure though of "Original", "Flipperless", "Recreated", etc. Makes for a much easier way to find what table specifically you're looking for.
