GameEx won't start

Hi!

I'm new to GameEx, but have been using different frontends for many years now. I'd like to switch to GameEx, but I'm having some problems starting the program.

Here's the error message I got:

Testing Main Loop Once: Processing Frame

ERRORS DETECTED: EXITING

Can you tell me what sort of hardware you have including video card?

Also try the 16-bit colour setting.

I tried to switch to 16-bit color, but that didn't help!

Sorry, I think you might be out of luck. I think your video card may not be up to the job.

2 things to try though:

Turn off advanced graphics.

Use a lower resolution.

Btw I used an older version of GameEx a year ago, and that one ran just fine. But I guess the program has advanced since then, and my laptop is too old, as you said.

Yes, its come a long way. The laptop sounds OK, just the video card.

You could check for newer drivers, and also check nothing else is conflicting.

Also try running dxdiag.exe
