I really like the 'global exit' option in GameEx, and I've managed to use it successfully on Project6j4. It's great! It works just the way I want, and I'm really happy with it.

I've recently gotten SSF to work in GameEx (tonight, actually), which is also great, but my global exit (Button 6 & Button 7; the Back and Start buttons on the 360 pad) doesn't work in SSF (it does still work in Pj64). The 'Esc' key works fine, as usual. Does anyone know why Global Exit would not work in SSF, and is there some way to fix this? Thanks in advance for any help!

It might be because you have an "advanced emulator config" specified for the emulator with its own exit combo specified. If I recall this would override the global exit combo.

Would that be in GameEx/CONFIG/EMULATORS/IMPORT-EXPORT?

I looked in there and found configs for Pj64 and SSF. These are the two settings that seem like they would count.

They are set the same in both ini's:

ConfigFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close)

MapKeys=True

The advanced config is set on a per emulator basis in the setup wizard. There stored in the folder above inport-export but they are set for the emulator in the setup wizard. The issue may just be a compatiblity issue with the emulator though. Not sure at this point but if its the latter I have nothing to suggest to fix.

I found the .ini for Pj64 in the GameEx/CONFIG/EMULATORS folder, but not one for SSF. There must be a .ini for SSF since it's configured in GameEx; is it possible that it's hiding someplace else?

You don't need to be searching around in folders. Everything is configured via the Setup Wizard.

Run the Setup Wizard and select Custom->Next->Advanced Emulator Setup->Next. Select the SSF emulator and then scroll down to "Advanced Config". Is there a file selected? You can either select the first (empty) option to turn off the advanced config or you can click the [...] button to edit an existing one.
