basis Posted January 21, 2012 Share Posted January 21, 2012 Hello all. I'm trying to configure D-Fend Reloaded with GameEx (latest version as of this writing). I have a successful confguration within D-Fend Reloaded. I generated a shortcut within D-Fend Reloaded, and I can run this from Windows 7 64 bit fine (by double clicking it from Windows Explorer). I then setup the MS-DOS emulator, with the rom path a directory with my shortcuts in. I am using: ""[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"" as my command line. When I click on run this game from within GameEx, it starts, then I get the following GameEx error / crash. Dosbox continues to run (just not full screen). This particular game runs a cd-rom as well.The shortcut target command line is:"G:\D-Fend Reloaded\DFend.exe" Kings Quest VI - Heir Today Gone TomorrowAny thoughts? Thanks....16:17:09.4 1/21/2012: Restoring Emulator from Cache16:17:09.4 1/21/2012: Restoring Emulator Database From Cache16:17:12.7 1/21/2012: Creating instance of global keyboard hook16:17:12.7 1/21/2012: Running: cmd.exe /c G: G:\D-Fend Reloaded\DFend.exe16:17:12.9 1/21/2012: Shutting down display16:17:15.8 1/21/2012: Writing Stats16:17:15.8 1/21/2012: Plugin: Game Exit16:17:15.8 1/21/2012: Plugin: Process Commands16:17:15.8 1/21/2012: Refreshing Keyboard16:17:15.9 1/21/2012: Initialising Audio16:17:16.0 1/21/2012: Relaunching HideOS16:17:16.6 1/21/2012: Restoring Window16:17:17.3 1/21/2012: Reinitializing Graphics System16:17:18.3 1/21/2012: 21 Consecutive Exceptions Occured16:17:18.3 1/21/2012: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.16:17:18.3 1/21/2012: at ag.t(Boolean A_0)16:17:18.3 1/21/2012: at ag.ad()16:17:18.3 1/21/2012: Trying reinitialising the display after sleeping for 4 seconds16:17:18.3 1/21/2012: Exception count will be dropped to 1516:17:22.4 1/21/2012: Exception initializing display16:17:22.4 1/21/2012: Error in the application.16:17:22.4 1/21/2012: at Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.Device..ctor(Int32 adapter, DeviceType deviceType, Control renderWindow, CreateFlags behaviorFlags, PresentParameters[] presentationParameters)16:17:22.4 1/21/2012: at o.a(Form A_0, Int32 A_1, Int32 A_2, Boolean A_3, Boolean A_4, Boolean A_5, Boolean A_6)16:17:22.4 1/21/2012: at o..ctor(Form A_0, Int32 A_1, Int32 A_2, Boolean A_3, Boolean A_4, Boolean A_5, Boolean A_6)16:17:22.4 1/21/2012: at ag.a(Boolean A_0, Boolean A_1, Boolean A_2, Boolean A_3, Int32 A_4)16:17:22.4 1/21/2012: at ag.ad()16:17:22.4 1/21/2012: --**--16:17:22.4 1/21/2012: 21 Consecutive Exceptions Occured: Exiting16:17:22.4 1/21/2012: Closing database connection16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: First Exception:16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: Error in the application.16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3D.Device..ctor(Int32 adapter, DeviceType deviceType, Control renderWindow, CreateFlags behaviorFlags, PresentParameters[] presentationParameters)16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at o.a(Form A_0, Int32 A_1, Int32 A_2, Boolean A_3, Boolean A_4, Boolean A_5, Boolean A_6)16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at o..ctor(Form A_0, Int32 A_1, Int32 A_2, Boolean A_3, Boolean A_4, Boolean A_5, Boolean A_6)16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at ag.a(Boolean A_0, Boolean A_1, Boolean A_2, Boolean A_3, Int32 A_4)16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at ag.a(Boolean A_0, Boolean A_1, Boolean A_2, Boolean A_3, Int32 A_4)16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at ag.b(Boolean A_0, Boolean A_1)16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at ag.a(Boolean A_0)16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at ag.l()16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at ag.m(Boolean A_0)16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at ag.ad()16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: Last Exception:16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at ag.t(Boolean A_0)16:17:22.5 1/21/2012: at ag.ad() Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
basis Posted March 7, 2012 Author Share Posted March 7, 2012 ...crickets...bueller...bueller...bueller...Is there any more data I can provide to try and troubleshoot this? It's clearly a gameex.exe crash - not a misconfiguration. Let me know - thanks! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
