Did my +1 for GameEx I think hyperspin will nearly always come top in a poll like this - people like "fluff" or eye candy and HS does it very well. However gameex rules the htpc market imo and has a certain elegance that hs doesn't. They both are good FE's but i'm in the gamex crew (obviously).

Have to say that I love hyperPIN but that I find hyperspin too cartoonish as a mame fe, I like something a bit more menu driven like gameex.
