DazzleHP Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Hi all,I probably seem a bit new here but i've been lingering for over a year now! (a bit weird as i feel i know most y'all quite well and you aint got a scooby who i am!) What i'm getting at is that i feel i've come to get to know GameEx quite well but as i've added an emu i can't get rid of the bracketed text! ARRRRGH! To be clear i mean this (in bold):Super Barbies Fun Playhouse Smash (U)(J)(RDM)[PAL][WEIRD][!]To clarify i have "Remove Text in Brackets: Yes" set on this and ALL the emus i have setup but the Atari 2600 is the only one not complying! Did i miss something? I should be getting this:Super Barbies Fun Playhouse Smash - correct?Incase it matters:XP Pro - SP3Custom Theme - based on MonochromeAtari 2600 EMU - Stella 3.4.1ANY pointers or suspicions would be appreciated! I like to dig into things myself so don't feel you gotta write an essay or babysit, just a lil... kick =)Thanks again and oh just incase *tips hat to Mr Speirs* crackin piece of software!DazzlePS above remark was a genuine compliment to Tom, no arse-licking was either intended or necessary.EDIT - SolutionSolution provided by celly:You should delete the cache file for that emulator and see if rebuilding that fixes it. Open the DATA file in the GameEx install folder, find the specific emulator by its number (check the Setup Wizard to see what number you have Atari 2600 as) and delete the cache files. These will rebuild upon startup.
celly Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Have you tried using the database for the Atari 2600? You can set that up within each specific emulator, inside the setup wizard. So games not only are trimmed up (brackets removed and so on) but also you'll get the description and info as well for each ROM.

celly Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Hmm. Was this a new problem since an update or something? You should delete the cache file for that emulator and see if rebuilding that fixes it.
