Why don't the Snapshots work for MAME?

I tried every setting, check the forums, WTF? Only a few snapshots for the ROMs in Mame show up in Game Ex. Everything work fine through Mame32, but for some reason, it doesn't work in Game Ex....did I miss/overlook something??

are all the screenshots png image files? i had a similar problem with my sega master system game pics and once I converted them to png's, they showed up just fine. another thing to check is the image file name: does it match the rom/zip file name. i don't know how acurate the file names must match but that could be the issue.

for converting lots of files to a different format check out the program "BIMP Lite". it's free and its what I used for converting all my sms pics. hope this helps.

If you have them zipped, it won't work with GameEx.

Well, I'm an idiot! I am embarassed to even say what was wrong...when I copied over (unzipped) all the snap files into the snap folder, I left the 'keep path' on winzip and it made a folder called snap within the existing snap folder!

...Dumbass!!

That's what I get for doing this crap late at night!

Thanks for the suggestions though, it led me to look into the problem a little closer!
