WinAPE or MESS?

? regarding Amstrad CPC emulation.

I have WinApe setup under GameEx using the WinApe Loader and it is working however it doesn't stretch to fullscreen under WInApe so I was thinking of using MESS, but it looks like we need a loader for that since MESS will not automatically run the dsk files without a loader. Does a loader exist for MESS or can someone write one that knows how to? I prefer MESS as it just looks much better than WinApe.

Boy, using MESS will indeed require a new loader. Youre probably gonna be better off sticking to WinAPE to be honest. It's generally not a popular system, so the chances for a new loader are likely next to none.

I was gonna try to figure out if it can be done with AutoHotKey or something similar. Yeah it is one of the obscure systems I was gonna add and include in my theme. Anyways the background image is done and for now I guess I'll stick with WinApe until I can figure out how to write a loader for this one. I'll do it myself when I get the time.

I think it's gonna require more than just an ahk script to be honest... Youre gonna have to pads the rom name, location, and the command line on a per game basis.

Freq would know at least where you could start from. Scripting is totally not my thing so I may just be talking sideways too, who knows?

I haven't toyed with this system at all so will have to take a look and maybe get with you on this to come up with a solution.

Update: So just toyed with it using WinAPE which from my sources seems to be the best emulator for this system. What is the point in a loader for this system? What problems are you having with fullscreen?
