Help Me Please

Hi Peoples,

Long time -no visit,

Just got back into my mame with GameEx and for the life of me i cant figure out how i used to have it set.

Yes i am still on version 6.76 and still got it set up that way.

Just using my cab to play mame games and before i stuffed all the settings up i was able to have a H and X in the top right corner allowing me to shut down the computer properly.

Now after trying numerous times to reset my cab to the defaults i used to have , i can only seem to come up with the X in the corner and not the H . The X only shuts down gameex , where the H button i could safely shut down the pc.

Is there any harm in me just hitting the x and then turning the machine of? or should the pc be shut down correctly?

I am also using instant sheller.

Any info or setting for me very much appreciated,

Upgrade to the latest GameEx and grab a new theme. They're all different. Sure you can play around and set it up yourself, but some of the Themes are really good at doing it for you. Also, there are settings in the config that 'show' what you are looking for. You have to turn them on... as long as the theme you picked has that option active.

I use Blackglass and have tweeked it to fir the use of my cabinet. It's really good. The Shutdown is listed in the menu, and not an Icon. I like it better that way.
