gameex freezes when compiling rom list

this happen to anyone? anyone have a remedy?

i just installed gameex, setup everything appropiately..

and it gets stuck when it complies my rom list... etc....

gets stuck on 55% to be exactly

i had to ctr+alt+del to get out..

help?

Yeah, it happened after I messed around with a bunch of settings and then forgot what I had changed. I just uninstalled GamEx (and deleted the folder in Program Files) and reinstalled. Then it worked.

Just to let you know it's normal for GameEx to get set at 55% for up to 10 minutes or so. You may just not be waiting off.

To turn off this step, disable verify roms under advanced mame settings.

i have all my roms setup in diff directores

(ex...

cps1\

cps2\

neogeo\

taitofx\

etc etc... i had it configured for all directoreies..

i consolidated all roms into one roms directory and it worked

but alas at the expense of having all my roms organized meticulously.

Get a rom manager like CLRMame, trust me it makes life alot easier. For example it could take all those directories and merge them.
