I am a registered user of GameEx. I have so far managed to setup MAME, however I am having a really hard time setting up Amiga emulation with GameEX. Is there an updated, easy to use guide to help? Has anyone done it and is willing to help...?

Hi, welcome to the forums, i think i might be able to help a little, Firstly if you havent done so download winuae and try and config that outside of GameEX and try to get a few games running, once you have that running report back, also tell us how far you've actually got ? and post your configs so that others can see whats happening. look under how to ask for help.

FYI The registration is for WHDLoad and has nothing to do with WinUAELoader.

No, well yes ish.. if you remember we got very close, but you said you'd need to read up to get more insite, works with WinUAE in GamEx in a fashion ( still got a small problem but works), the problem i think was because so many games require different set ups weather its A500 only uses the AGA chip set needs fastram etc, etc... if you were to use only A500 or A1200 games then the loader would probably work fine, also the format they are in zip, adf also doesnt help.

Ah ok. I think it was a differences in romsets. We haven't worked on that for awhile so had forgotten anything about it. LOL. Well let me know what needs fixing and we'll try to sort it out.

The whole idea of WinUAELoader is to use the GameBase database for launching games with the required settings. The best games to get are the WHDLoad set (WinUAELoader has a links section for where to find everything)

Has anyone tried GameEx's built in GameBase support with GameBase Amiga? It should theoretically do the same thing as WinUAE Loader (minus a few bells and whistles).

But it do work. So the "Please Registre" dosen't appear every time. The files should go somewhere in the /devs folder.

That's true I just don't want people thinking they are paying for WinUAE Loader. It's a free program.
