When it returns to GameEx, it could be a couple of things. The path to the roms are incorrect or the command-line is incorrect. Please export your config so we can have a look.

Most likely CL issue.I will have to look for the old epsxe line as I have switched to pSX

Im willing to bet it has to do with " where they are placed

Here is the command line I use for this emulator

epsxe.exe -nogui -slowboot -loadbin "[rompath]\[romfile]" -loadmemc0 "memcards\[rom]"

that made the rom run, but now it goes to a weird version of the black playstation logo and stops.

also, where do i find the config so i can post?

I would try the following:

epsxe.exe -nogui -slowboot -loadbin "[rompath]\[romfile]"

Your memory card files would have to be in same location as R-DUB's for that to work.

To post a config, in Setup Wizard you go into the Emulator Selection section and click on the emulator. Then you click on the last button in the middle of the listviews with a note and an arrow pointing out. Hovering over the button will show Export Emulator(s). Then simply name the file and post it's contents in the forums by either just pasting the info or renaming as a text file since the forums won't accept ini files.

nope, it still does the same thing where it goes through the ps1 console intro to the black screen and then stops. (the sound finishes and then it loads forever)

Bin/cue, many of them ripped with imgburn off of my own ps1 games

I'm in the chat room for real-time support if interested.

Do you have the PS1 bios?

Never mind, you have this running outside GameEX, so just a matter of getting the settings right.

ok nevermind i figured out the problem

if i use ISOs instead of bin/cue files then it works perfectly

now to get ssf working...

The command-line is picky with it's file types. To avoid making all new ISOS, I recommend using 3rd party software to mount the image. Daemon Tools Lite is what I would suggest unless you have another mounting app that you have.
