First of thanks for this excellent application. It makes for a great front-end for my Slingbox. Second, I read through the code and there is one setting that would be very helpful, that's Sling's buffer length or as Sling calls it their PrechargeTime value. In the Slingplayer desktop app you can adjust the prechargetime in the SBcore.ini file. In Slingfront, such option does not exist. I appended Slingfront's code to include the PrechargeTime value to be placed in the encoding section of the ini file Slingfront reads, but it didn't work (the buffer still sits at a fixed 5 second length). Does anyone know if the ActiveX Slingplayer app even allows for adjusting the buffer length / prechargetime? Again, I can program into the original code, but just need to know if it's even possible to adjust the value. Thanks! -
I am a new user of Slingfront, and am having serious problems getting it to work for me. I am running Windows 8.1 and have the 1.6 version of Slingfront downloaded and installed. I have reviewed everything I can find on the website about login difficulties and have tried all of the suggested fixes, but nothing seems to work. Here is a description of my issue: When I run Slingfront, it loads up fine and I hear the music and it shows that it is "Loading Slingboxes". It sits on this screen for about 2-3 minutes and then I get a new menu screen that gives me the choice to go to settings or "View Slingboxes". If I select View Slingboxes, all I get is an option to go back. So far I have tried changing my Sling password, uninstalling and reinstalling slingfront, rebooting multiple times, etc. I even tried to reformat my hard disk and start over. Nothing seems to work (consistently). Here is the challenge. Occasionally it will login just fine. I just can't seem to find any factor that differentiates whether or not it can login. I would REALLY appreciate any help/suggestions. I would be tearing my hair out if I had any!

I have just installed Slingfront on my Windows 7 Pro. I have previously used IE & Chrome plugins to watch my older Slingbox. I just bought a M1 and need the proxy support that Sling has left out. When I go to launch Slingfront, I get the following message: 'Slingplayer ActiveX control is not installed. Do you want to download the Slingplayer ActiveX Control?' Answering yes starts the WebSlingPlayer ActiveX Installer but it fails with message: 'Unable to install because a new version of this product is already installed' I still can't launch Slingfront due to the original error. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hello Guys, I recently download the 1.5 version. I don't know how i can do the xbmc integration ? i read the plugin its supposed to be install by yourself but i don't see nothing when i enter in xbmc ? i use the 350 slingbox and the windows 7 64bit with xbmc 12 My second question .. if i open the slingfront, everything work ! so great job ! i can change the channel with my mce remote control and my channel on my digital box change directly. If i want to change channel by number.. this is my issue, if i use my keyboard and i enter 688 for exemple, the channel change but if i want to use my remote control .. when i press the number nothing on the screen. Thanks fr your help ! i appreciate ! sorry for my english !
