I have seem similar posts but I believe i have tried the fixes. Many games are not showing inside of GameEX even though they are in the designated ROMS folder and are playable through MAME outside of GAMEEX. I have turned off filtering, and set it to allow nonworking roms, as well as adding the games to the no filter list. Some of the games missing are all the Street Fighter series, Tekken, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. There are thousands of games showing and playing correctly. I have updated the list several times also. Thanks and let me know what logs/configs you need

I am trying to cull my game list to get rid of games I don't want. So instead of starting with an entire set, I thought I would start with the ones I know and work and then add more from there once they are tested and have all the necessary files. My issue is, I have started with just a couple of ROM's that work but when I update my game list, Gameex shows me the entire list of available games, not just the 3 in my ROM folder. I have tweaked a few filters in the advanced mame section but it doesn't seem to matter. I am using Gameex 3.0.3, Mame 0.0161 with corresponding ROMs. I have also applied the Mame system pack to Gameex. Is there a setting I am missing???? Thanks, Jason GameEx.ini

Hi all!! I have two questions about excluded roms on latest GameEx version: 1- where is the list or how can I see the excluded roms list from any emulator?? 2 - Any way to delete physicaly the roms on this list from my hard drive? (plugin or batch file) Thanks in advance!!!
-
After a big headache, I think it would be convenient if we have the option to merge sets on, when you exclude a rom should get in the list of roms excluded all those that are set and not just the first one. This would facilitate further erasing all roms that are set and not just the first one.

Hi guys, I wanted to know if there is any way to use the list of excluded games to erase these games on roms folder where they are. Is there a program or batch file that allows to do this? Thank you very much for your answers. Edit: Ok, found this thread and think it's my solution!!! http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/8455-release-delete-excluded-roms/ Edit 2: I just use the program and all it has done is clear the list of excluded roms. Now back to have my dirty list and the roms I do not want. I thought this program erased roms from the original roms folder, but it seems that all it does is clear the list of excluded roms (do not understand that it serves this) Any solution? Edit 3: Now when i exclude roms from my emulator, the list on the Gameex config (setup wizard) appears with white letters. If your select there is something here, but it's not visible. I tried to copy the content of the excluded roms on a txt file and there are names of the roms, but are not visible. I don't understand nothing..... Edit4: Ok i found the problem now. The problem is i have selected the meged sets on my emulator and when you exclude a rom it only exclude the first rom contained on the merged set. Whe you use the utility it delete only the first rom on this set and clear the excluded roms list. Now, if you see the list the game re-appears because it's compossed by 2 or 3 or more roms that make the full set. You need to apply this operation until all the roms are deleted.

Hello everyone, I have some collections of games (no-intro) in which there is the same version of the game in several regions (jap) (eu) (usa) ... My question is: is there an option to not repeat these versions in the list of GameEx and thus have a clean list?. If I choose the option of "database names" on Gameex config, it will appear only the roms that are in the database? In what way can you have a clean list of roms in GameEx if you have many different versions of games? I love having the full entire collection of all my emulators, but i prefear to have a clean list of it. I need to combine this two things to reach the Nirvana :-) How you guys manage this situations? Like I'm asking something that is not possible ... do not know. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi all, I have a little problem with the description on the bottom when you're on the list of games emulator. The problem is that if you delete a game by pressing the DEL key, the description of the next game does not match with their description, if not with the previous game. This builds up, and if you delete eg 5 sets and continuous browsing the list, the description of each game is of the game 5 position before. Is there any way to update GameEx emulators list of games? Thank you very much. GameEx.ini log.txt

Hi all!!! I've configured mame and only can see a few games on the list. I think there is no filter enabled or something similar, apart of the default filter (Japan;Korea;Asia;Bootleg;French;German;Hack;Prototype;Hardware;(Easy;(harder) I only see 90 games on the list.... I have the 0.155 set. Attached are my config files and log. Thanks in advance. GameEx.ini log.txt

Hi, I've been having trouble getting all my MAME roms to show up in the list. I've got a full, current, merged, 7zipped romset that checks out in ClrMAMEPro. But in GameEx, I'm missing a bunch of games. If I set verifyroms to on, along with turning off "show only existing games", I'll get 1,447 roms to show up. It looks like most of them are in the beginning of the alphabet too - the first 1,300 or so are up to the letter D. The attached files are from a brand new GameEx install. The only thing I configured was MAME. I got similar results on my "normal" GameEx install, but not quite the same. I don't have any hard numbers, but I know in some configuration on my normal install, I would get only about 400 roms stopping in the middle of the letter C (I think Carnevil was the last one). Anybody have any thoughts on this? Thanks! GameEx.ini log.txt

Thank you for this great software. I have been trying to find a htpc slingbox solution for a long time and this is very close to what i'm looking for. I know this may not affect too many people, but I have a lot of slingboxes and it seems when i go to the slingbox list, it's limited to 7 in the list. Is it possible for me to submit a feature request to allow a scroll bar or something on the slingbox list page in the event that you have more than 7 slingboxes?

Can anyone tell me if there's a way to allow the list of games (MAME) to be scrolled by page instead of by line? Right now if I want to play Truxton for example it takes about 10 minutes to get there - I've used other front-ends which allowed the joystick to be pushed right/left for paging up and down, with up/down being used for line-by-line scrolling. If I push the joystick left/right in GameEx it just goes to the other icons which I never really use anyway. I've looked for a way of configuring this functionality but either it doesn't exist or it's too obscure for me to find, or I'm being dumb.. one of 'em. Can anyone help with this? Cheers.

First off, I begin construction of my cabinet in 2 days! One thing I have left to do is remove all of the adult games from GameEx. I have applied the adult games filter that GameEx provides and that seems to work. It filters the games from the list of MAME games when browsing. Unfortunately, when I used EmuMovies to download the artwork/videos for my games it downloaded it for all the adult games too. So, when I'm at the GameEx main menu, and it is showing random gameplay videos, it occasionally will show an adult game (this happens more often than you would think given the sheer number of games). This is unacceptable if I'm going to allow kids (or even family/friends) near my cabinet. So, I think the solution for me would be to get a list of all the game roms that GameEx searches for when I apply the adult games filter. I'll take that and scour my video folder and manually delete all of the videos for the adult games. Anyone have a better idea? I also plan to manually delete the adult game roms. The filter does seem to work but it's simply too risky to leave them lying around, because you know the first time a kid steps up to the machine, the filter will fail and I'll be embarrassed . Where can I get that list? Thanks everyone.

I'm still new to the emulating community, but from what I can tell the file naming of MAME ROMs is very important so that they can be recognized correctly and so forth. Do ROMs for other systems follow the same strict rules? I'm asking because I have a set of ROMs for a console that do not seem to be named correctly. I think some are named correctly, while others look like they're definitely wrong (the title is correct, but doesn't seem to follow any naming standard). In fact, I believe this to be true because when I use the EmuMovies download utility to download snaps for the ROMs I have it often does not download snaps for many of these games (probably because they are incorrectly named). Does anyone know of a list of correct ROM names for consoles? Does anyone know of a program that can help me recognize and automatically rename ROMs? Thanks.
