GameEx Emulator Wiki http://gameex.info/wiki/index.php/Category:Emulators See above for a growing list of Emulator guides. Includes things like Command Line parameters, hotkeys and plugin details. Be great if y'all could add to it. Every time I set up a new system/emulator, I just put any research outcomes into the relevant wiki page. If you're going to start a new emulator, use the "Template: Emulator" as a standard. You can just edit the page and copy and paste the markup into the new emulator page. The format's recently changed, with Dolphin, Cemu and Citra showing the most recent format.

Rereading my post was interesting, I was in the middle of a life reboot and had lots of free time. Well I have much less free time these days and I thought I could simply upgrade the memory and SSD of the HTPC. That failed miserably ending up with a new motherboard, PSU and processor. Lucky for me AMD's affordable Kabini series of APU's and motherboards had come on the market. After dealing with hardware that didn't work, I finally have a working Mini-ITX HTPC. Since I am starting from scratch I really do want to make the changes I've been contemplating for years. Of course XBMC has become Kodi but many of the same problems I had remain. I've since given up on viewing You Tube via Kodi and use my PS3 exclusively for that. I've also added a Cable Card Tuner to my HTPC and that brought some issues with missing recordings. We'll see if the fresh build and install of Windows 7 fixes that. So its back to considering Game EX as the front end for my archived media and console emulation. When I tried it before, folders ended up everywhere on my boot drive which at the time was a 64 GB SSD. So to prevent that this time, I found a good installation walkthrough on You Tube by Simply Austin. I wanted to start a new thread to chronicle how I'm getting on with and ask any questions I made have during setup.

Hello, I have always been using Higan (version 92) for emulating NES and SNES behind the GameEx front-end, no problem with launching the games as long as I don't use a version of Higan newer than 93, because to my understanding since version 94 Higan doesn't work from the command line anymore. However I have problems configuring Higan to use my wireless gamepad/controllers (or any other joystick). The controller is not recognized automatically. I know that key mappings are defined in Settings -> Configuration -> Input, but I couldn't find how controllers keys should be defined (it doesn't work like MAME, where you can just press the keys on the controller and they will be automatically detected). Or is there any command line option to automatically detect a controller? If you have any experience using Higan in GameEx, I would appreciate any suggestion, before I consider switching to a different NES/SNES emulator entirely.

So I just found out about this today and I have to say this is one of the best frontends I've seen so far however I'm not quite familiar with GameEx so I was wondering if someone could tell me how to add emulators and game roms to GameEx. I tried starting the setup wizard but I couldn't find a way to access the custom settings. Can someone point me in the right direction?
