Hello! I came across this a little while ago...thought I would share. Its a news story from 20\20 (used to air on Friday Nights on ABC many many years ago) from 1988. ...how things can change in 26 years... On a side note, I should be getting back to being more active here starting in about a month. We have one more vacation we are planning for (to Orlando, FL) near the end of February, and afterwords, finally...finally back to my little projects . One thing I was very excited to hear about was GameEx Evolution...it may seem a little too much to ask....but can we get a small "taste" of what it will have to offer?...maybe one or two small breadcrumbs of info of what it will have us drooling over? .....pleeeeeeeaaaaaaasssseeee LC

Hi all! Previous GameEx user here, bought myself a one year registration a long time ago. Looking to get back into GameEx and contemplating buying a lifetime registration. I really dig GameEx and actually love jumping aroung the front-end discovering new MAME games almost as much as actually playing them. There is, however, one thing about GameEx that bugs me. Is it possible to turn off all of GameEx's online features, such as Weather, RSS, News, Forums etc.? The reason I want to turn these off is as follows: 1. When I turn on GameEx it takes about 5 minutes for all of these things to update before I can even begin browsing games. Major annoyance if I want to just have a quick go at Frogger. 2. I live in China, and I'm assuming that's why all of these updates and news feeds etc. take so long to load when I open GameEx. I don't mind doing a manual update every once in a while. But when I want to play a game I just want to play a game, don't care about all the other stuff. 3. If I want to know the weather I can just look out the window! Other than these minor gripes I'm really fond of GameEx and want to make it my front-end for gaming on my HTPC. Hope there's a way to turn off these online features. Many thanks in advance for your help!

The frontend is great, everything is programmable even so in my humble opinion it would be great to add a touch artisico the menu. It occurred to me that it was in flash and as it is being configured or adding emulators this. Swf is modified only. On the other hand I ofresco to make a movie style presentation in focus after. That would make it very competitive because Hyperspin frontend others are visually very nice but to set it have to know much of autohotkey and programming. It is a humble opinion since I love GameEx and I congratulate you for this great work you have done as well as the help and hansolo Adultery, nullpointer, draco, tempest, headkaze, krc, etc ... impressive. and thanks for letting me be part of your community. My name is Paul and I live in Buenos Aires ARGENTINA.
