This is more of a question specific to Stella v3.6.1, but I thought someone might have some good advice. I'm trying to play some Atari 2600 games that require the "keyboard" or "kid's controller". By default Stella has many of these controller input commands mapped to keyboard buttons, but the problem is two-fold: The default buttons mapped by Stella are randomly strewn across my arcade buttons (my setup caters to MAME buttons).I can't simply map the controller keyboard buttons (picture a telephone dial pad: 1-9,*,0,#) to my current controller setup because each game uses the controller differently. For example, in Big Bird's Egg Catch it uses 5 and 6 to move left and right. Another game Alpha Beam With Ernie uses 4 and 6 for left and right.Photos of original controller: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=atari+2600+kid%27s+controller&t=ffnt&iax=1&ia=images I first looked at Xpadder to solve the per game issue, but as far as I can tell Xpadder is only useful for gamepads, not keyboards. I don't think Stella itself supports per game controller configurations (or am I missing this?). Any thoughts?

Hey guys, my office has a custom MAME cab in it, and one of our coworkers gets a BIT too into Street Fighter, so we've had to replace some control sticks. We purchased the cabinet from someone that was moving to South America, so unfortunately we don't have a lot of original documentation about the parts he used. We decided to purchase two matching Ultrastik 360s. The new sticks have been installed and all of the UltraMap stuff has been (as far as we know) properly configured, with the updated firmware and correct Stik ID#s. All our tests show that the sticks work fine. All the other settings have been left at default, with the "Analog" setting. When inside a game in GameEx however, the Player 1 stick simply does not function. Player 2 is able to maneuver just fine. This is even more confusing because when inside GameEx's normal menus the Player 1 stick is able to navigate around with ease. Is there a setting buried somewhere in the GameEx configuration menu that we're missing? The stick works great until I get into a game, then it's like it's simply not there, but Stick 2 is great. I've pored over the options but nothing is jumping out at me.

I setup all my emulators for the wireless xbox 360 controller today. Everything went smooth until I tried to play them after launching them through GameEx. Buttons 7 (select) and 8 (start) will not work. If I launch the emulator outside of GameEx they work fine. Launching PC games through GameEx works correctly also. Sorry GameEx.ini is too large to post. GameEx.ini log.txt

Hi, I have been having issues with using a PS3 controller in GameEx. I have PS3 controller selected in configuration, but nothing works. I then tried downloading MotionJoy, still no results. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for the help!

Finished my Desktop Pinball Controller for use with Pinball X: It supports Manual Nudge with the top black/red buttons and Analog Nudge using the U-HID G (as seen in the middle of the box). Depending on the loaded profile you can activate Manual Nudge or Analog Nudge or both.

Hello All, I'm new to the Game Ex community and have been working on a bit of a project recently. Basically I'm working on an NES PC and I'm trying to use the standard NES conrollers to navigate back and forth through the menus. By default Game Ex uses Button 2 to select menu options and Button 4 to navigate back to the previous menu. The only problem I have is I need to map Button 1 to navigate backwards through the menus. I can use a USB SNES controller and it works fine, but all of the USB ports are hidden and I have the 2 standard NES controller ports wired to USB headers. Now in game everything is fine, all buttons function normally and I also have "Up" and "Select" set to exit the emulator, but I cannot for the life of me figure a way change the one navigation button. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
