  1. Hey U-Man, there is still a pixel or two gap I've made a request to Tom about seeing if this can be changed, but it's much less noticeable with your image so many thanks!
  2. Hi Tom, I've checked and I don't think the following requests I am making are possible currently. Please could you consider the following requests?: An option to remove the small gap/ or set the value of the gap between menu items. - Having spoken with Crylen I know he would like to achieve this too for his theme. An option to remove the white outline of the popup description text box - (U-Man would also like this feature) An option for the text to scroll on a highlighted menu item if it does not fit in the area so the whole filename/ game name can be viewed. Thanks
  3. Hi, thanks for your replies. @Draco1962: I have renamed the files as a work around. However I don't think it's a windows limitation as it finds the video fine when you select the game. So the code in gameex to look for a video snap must have different logic in the games menu as it does in the selected game page. I have spoken with Crylen around these matters, and they are limitations of Gameex as he is also quite keen to get rid of the small gap between list items. @U-Man: I removed the unslected.png to test but there is still a small game between each item on the list So I guess all 3 things are feature requests. I will make the the formal way. Oh and thanks for the welcome!
  4. Hi I think I might have found a small bug, I noticed that if a file name has a . in the title such as Ecco Jr..rom or Smash T.V.rom then the video snap is not found on the selection menu. However it will be found and displayed in you select the game on the games menu page. Also having started to use Aeon Inspiriat I have few questions or maybe feature requsts. Is it possible to remove the small gap between menu items? Is it possible to remove the white outline of the popup description text box? If the text does not fit in the area on a highlighted menu item is it possible to make the text scroll so the whole file name can be read? Many thanks
  5. Hi Draco, I was talking about the white line around the description text area not the font, will that achive that?
  6. Hi Crylen, I'd like to say thank you for your great theme. I've picked it as the base for my setup and I think the best that I've found. I've changed the font to be Joystix as I think it works well. I've moved the pop up description over the video snap image and I think it works really well, but I'd like to remove the white outline boarder, does anyone know if it's possible to do this? I will upload my config so you can see what I've done with your theme if you are interested. I have a request or two I hope you can help me with. Having grown up using a PAL SNES I was wondering if you could create a layout that's the same but uses a PAL SNES for the console image? I know you have the Nintendo Super Famicom but a Eurpoean one would be great The last thing I have been trying to change I know it's already been touched on in this thread but is it possible to remove the small gap between menu items? Maybe this is more a feature request for Tom? Once again thanks for a fantastic theme you've done a great job.
  7. Thanks for the response. I will try and fix it over the weekend. I do have one query, how does gameex call GS? Does it need to be installed in the same location as gameex? Or does the GS application's path need to be registered globally? R.E. The BSOD the result was instant with the registry change and the removal resolved the issue. I've not had a BSOD before or after so I'm quite sure that it's not down to anything else. It might have something to with a USB thumb stick being connected and mounted as C:? Thanks for the heads up though.
  8. Hi Tom It looks like you have used GS for processing PDF manuals, configured it in a set way and then packaged it back up for use with GameEx. I'm sure it works for most users, but I have found a bit of a problem. After doing a bit more work setting up my media PC with GameEX I tried to setup manuals. I did allot of searching on these forums (is there no manual for getting manuals to work? ;-) ) I downloaded the offlinelinegamemanualinstall.exe I then got a BSOD and failed to boot. So I booted up the PC in safemode, looked at the regestry files that the installation registered. The problem was that the system drive is defined a C: rather than %system drive% and my PC does not have the system drive as C:. So I changed the font location in RegEdit and the PC then booted. This is handy because the uninstall process involves pointing it to the install log file, and the only one I have is the one that is for your PC. However GS still does not work correctly. When I run it from the command line with the parameter -h it tells me that some of the search paths are C:/gs.... c:\gs is not contained within the registry. I don't know if this is why I still can not use GS either naively or via GameEx. Any ideas? I'm happy to install GS (native), but would need to know what to do to get it working from GameEx. OR if you know what I need to do to tweek my current install that would be great. Thanks in advance
  9. That worked perfectly. Thank you for the fast turn around.
  10. This looks nice to me good work. Would it be easy to expand to 1920 x 1080 for HD TV native support? That is a very intresting pair of facts, thank you.
  11. Thank you for the speedy reply but I don't think that's quite my issue, I say this as the video snaps are named up correctly for all the ROMs. The problem is the snap it selects to represent the merged set. How does GameEx pick that (it seems to be the to ROM in the set)? Once inside the merged set all the corresponding video/ picture snaps display fine.
  12. Hi, I have read through the FAQ and the feature request forum, and I am not sure if this feature exists or not. Sorry if something already exists. I have GameEx configured to merge ROM sets. However when this happens there is no way to select what snap is shown from merged set that I can see. For example if I have 3 verions of a ROM with a video snap for the only one version of the ROM, but the other two versions only have a picture snap, I will often find that the static picture snap is the one that is used to represent the merged set. Is this something I can resolved without having to duplicate my video snaps? Can a map file be used? Or best still, could GameEx be configured so that a video snap superseeds a picture snap on merged sets? Thanks in advance
