  1. Your suggestion worked. I appreciate it greatly. On my way to donate. thank you.
  2. I do not get the skipping error in Stella. After I closed it, I went in to MAME and played a game, exited, and the Gameex skipping error was on the desktop after Gameex closed down on its own. Gameex was still running in one window and the skipping error in another window. When Instant Sheller crashed and I repaired Windows from the blue screen, Gameex was still there but not functional. I reinstalled Gameex and Gameex installed a new folder. There are two Gameex icons listed in the Startup Apps. I disabled them both, but that did not resolve the issue. I enabled the GameEx that seemed functional and I was able to re-map my emulators and MAME. I am still getting this current skipping error. Is it possible that there are remnants of Instant Sheller and the old GameEx folders causing a conflict in the current system? How can I remove or check that they are completely removed?
  3. I have installed and setup GameEx on my Windows 10 PC. I started Stella/Atari 2600 Air Raid game to test the emulator. The screen goes black and back to the desktop and a small box with an error message stating in small letters "skipping" and then below it GameEx. I ran the verify in the Setup Wizard and I only get messages like empty folders on content that I have not downloaded yet like Box art, titles, etc. I read in the forum to delete the "dbcache" files and that did not work. I just recently re-installed GameEx to see if that would remove the offending file. That has not worked. So I am looking for some other solutions. I have attached my log and GameEx.ini file for assistance. If anything else is needed, please let me know. GameEx.ini log.txt
  4. I reset Windows to get back to the desktop. I am running an original full version of GameEx that has been updated. I am going to setup the GameEx Arcade version and then run the Sheller with it. As troubleshoot, would it be best to keep GameEx and the Sheller program on the same drive or does that matter? I am trying to avoid this issue again. I was not able to locate the SecureBoot setting to disable in my PC's bios. I disabled GameEx in the Startup folder. Not sure if that would conflict with sheller or not. The GameEx Arcade is more advanced than the older full version that I started with 10 years ago. So I am assigning the paths again and updated emulators, etc. As I am setting this up, please advise on any settings that will make my setup more efficient to work with Instant Sheller. I want this cabinet to boot straight to GameEx to give it a more Arcade feel. Thank you for your help. 5. The PC has Windows 10 Pro with the latest updates. I tried Crl-Alt-Del and it indicates that no apps are running with the black screen in the background. I tried the Alt-N and no response either. I tabbed to the Details drop down and it does not do anything.
  6. I installed Instant Sheller 2.01 on Windows 10. I checked my Bios settings and no secure boot setting found. My GameEx folder is on a separate drive (E:), than my Windows drive (C:). Set up Instant sheller to GameEx shortcut path. Computer booted up and went to black screen and I cannot return to Windows desktop or undo Sheller. How do I undo setup so I can reinstall to make the program work properly?
  7. Previous versions of Mame and GameEx, a generic control panel indicating what buttons worked on a game would appear while waiting for a game to load. I am missing a setting that I must have changed or not assigned the correct file in an update. I cannot find this simple error in the forums. Any help to remedy this and have the control panel picture be showing while the game is loading would be appreciated? Frequent watcher on the forums. Thanks for your help.
  8. Ugh! That was so simple. Thank you very much.
  9. I think the answer to your question is yes. The name of the folder is the name of the table and corresponding .vpt file inside it.
  10. Thank you very much for your help. That worked for the full screen issues. It may be my processor is not fast enough to run it smoothly through gameex.
  11. I have Visual Pinball working on the outside and working in Gameex on some tables that do not require any vbs files to support them. What I would like to do is setup the command line to go to the Table folder then to the executable file. I have attached my ini setup of the software. I also have a sample path line below: C:\Emulators\Pinball\Visual Pinball\Tables\Bad Cats (Williams) (1989)\(then the table .vpt file) So here is my question: How do I set up my configuration in Gameex to use the folder names in the gamelist in Gameex for selection purposes, but once the table is selected go inside the folder to the .vpt file to start the game? If I am not making sense, I will provide any additional info to better explain. vispinball.ini
  12. I know it has been awhile, but I was able to get Demul working outside of Gameex. I also have it working in Gameex as well, but it has lag. Is there a workaround for that and to make it open up as a fullscreen instead of windowed? atomiswave.ini
  13. Ok. I am more confused than ever now. I know this is a pain for you and frustrating, but can you tell me what file go where? I tried to run it through gameex, and I get to the Demul screen and it will not load. Also should I setup a separate demul to run Atomiswave? Any help is appreciated.
  14. This forum was so helpful with SSF. I need some help with Demul to run Naomi roms. I have Demul 0.5.6. I downloaded the dll files and put them all in the plugins folder. I have the roms in Winzip format in a roms folder. I have the configuration pointed to those locations. The gpaddemul.dll (spelling may be wrong) will not load stating it is incompatible. I have Daemon Lite on my PC running Windows XP, but I do not even know if that is needed to run it. This is a Noob question that I am having trouble to even start the program and load the roms correctly or unzip the roms then run them. I am lost on this one on how to get it to work outside Gameex or inside Gameex. Thanks for the help. Demul.ini
  15. That worked perfectly. Thank you. Can you help with Demul to work with Naomi? I can't figure out how to configure it to even make it work outside of Gameex much less in it. Any tips to help with that would be much appreciated.
  16. Some additional information: I can run SSF outside of Gameex, but get the black screen in Gameex. Outside of Gameex, I have to manually mount the images with Daemon and then open then close the CD drive to make it go. The window display is small and I need to increase the size of the window, but I think that is not important since I am trying to get it to run in Gameex.
  17. I removed the Launch before and after, but I still get the black screen from SSF in Gameex and outside of it. I read on the SSF website that Socket A chips are not compatible with SSF because they need SSE? I have downloaded Direct X 9.0 and that loaded successfully, but I still cannot get SSF to open up past the black screen. Any suggestions?
  18. I am new, but old in Gameex follower. I truly appreciate the posts by all of you who have a great deal more knowledge than I do working with emulators and Gameex. I am attempting to setup SSF in Gameex and I have followed the suggestions by Frequency in a prior post in setting up the config for SSF, but I am still getting a black screen and no game loading. I have attached my ini file for review. I am running Windows XP 32 bit with a AMD Hammer Dual Core chip at 2.0 ghz. Any help that you can point in my direction would be appreciated. SSF.INI
