  1. Ya now that its set to emulate a mouse it's no problem when holstered. The problem was when I had it emulate a joystick, even when holstered, the menu would scroll uncontrollably.
  2. Ok, I changed my gun to work as a mouse instead of a joystick and although it still scrolls the menu in GameEx, if it's not pointed at the screen, everything works fine. Still not sure why the input selection isn't working but no matter.
  3. Actually, even though the settings say to use only joystick #3, all my joysticks and gun control the front end scrolling. Under joystick input, if I take out up down left and right, nothing works.
  4. That's the odd thing, I have gameex set to work ONLY with my u360 joystick in the input settings. That's what's odd. Gun works fine out of gameex.
  5. Ok, just installed an aimtrak and am having very wierd issues with gameex. I have the aimtrak set to act as a joystick, not a mouse. In my gameex settings I have mouse turned on. My settings for gameex control is set to only work with my u360 joystick #1. When GameEx is open, my joystick controls the list, but if I lift up the lightgun, the list begins to scroll as well. The problem is, when I then point the gun down, the list perpetually scrolls down and the interface is unusable. I thought setting the interface just to work with a specific device would correct this but it doesn't. Help! Thanks Mike
  6. I have two control panels. One with a trackball and quite a different layout. My question is how can I set up two different configs for mame so that I can keep my button settings for each game. For example, if I set certain buttons to work with asteroids and I then switch panels, mame needs to be reconfigured for the new panel every time I switch. I was thinking of creating two separate mame installs one for each panel, but then I won't be able to keep my high scores. Any ideas? Thanks
  7. I have 2 control panels I use on my cab and have created cpwizard configs for both. Is there any way to quickly have cpw switch from one to the other without going into the app?
  8. Ok figured it out. I was running the newest download of mame but I hadn't downloaded the newest compiled update u6. Now everything is perfect.
  9. Make sure your plug in is turned on in the plugin management. It took me two days to figure out it wasn't working because I had never toggled it on...
  10. Thought I checked help, but I'll look again Thanks
  11. Is there a full instruction file for CPwizard anywhere? I'm trying to figure out what all the different options do but can't find a full help file anywhere. I'm trying to get the mouse pointer to disappear but it's always visible despite clicking the hide pointer option. Also trying to figure out how to display multiple buttons for same command. (I have the flap button in joust mapped to several cp buttons but cpw only displays one). Thanks, sorry if the answer is obvious but I've searched everywhere.
  12. Ok, made sure my mame.ini is refering to the correct path for my samples folder, yet games such as qBert not playing with audio. I made sure to have a copy of the newest sample, running newest build of Mame64. Any ideas?
  13. I see where I can set a key command to force the computer to shutdown or hibernate within GameEx but was wondering if there is anyway to force sleep? I have a button on the side of my cab that i've configured through an iPac to send a key command and would like to force the command to sleep the PC (shutting off my monitor etc attached to a power sensitive power strip), Any suggestions? In the past ive taken apart my PC and attached a wire beween the cab button and the PC power button, but I'd rather not take my new PC apart. Thanks for any thoughts Mike
  14. Ok Figured it out. I had to go to the plu-in manager and turn on the plug in. It's in the GameEx config folder. Hope that helps others with the problem. Works great now.
  15. Help! I'm running the newest build of GameEx with 2 new ultrastick 360's but its not autoswitcing to the correct joystick layout. If i set the joystick to 2 way in ultramap, when i boot up gameex or any of my mame games from within GameEx, it doesnt switch. I made sure my setting had the joystick support on, and all my path seem correct. Any ideas? I'm using Mame64 for my emulator. Thanks
