That is the full log, until i ended the task, (i was sick of waiting, lol!). I had to end the task because it appeared to be hanging, but if i left it for another 10-15 minutes, it would finally load. It looks like it slows down during the verification part. I did try turning off the game extender, but not the music. I will give that a shot. Ive also reinstalled the software several times and rebooted a few times as well! Frank

Hey guys, Im trying to figure out an issue ive had since i recently did an update. My gameex hasnt been updated since the 10.30 series and since updating, the "please wait while loading"screen stays on for about 20 minutes before it actually loads. Ive never had this issue before. I also have "verify roms" turned off to speed things up. While its loadings, it doesnt even start the music, which normally starts the jukebox from my mp3 list. From the logs, it looks like theres some issue loading emulators, which ive never had an issue before with. The log isnt complete because i have to force quit the program, or wait 15 minutes for it to load! Many of my questions were answered here and found an awesome front end to complete my arcade!!!! I took some pictures for you guys to enjoy. what if, when you click play this game, gameex first displays the control panel for a few seconds, then loads the mame game. would this be possible? frank

i was hoping there was a simple setting or something easy. if its a new feature, ill switch it over to that section. frank

just like the title says. i was wondering ig there is a way for the control panel viewer load/run while the mame games are \booting up? this would be great for those players who are new to a game or just trying out a new game. the way i env ision it is when you click play this game. the control panl with labels loads up full screen. in he background mame is booting up. once your done with the controls. any button press closes it and you start the game. frank

i checked for the controls.ini file in gameex/data, and its there. i also updated the game list data so its matched with romset .106. so i have the monst current controls.ini file, but its still not showing up in gameex, any other ideas. thanks,, frank

Hey guys, i've run into a recent problem, i cannot view the control panel before selecting the game. ive tried different themes and it still doesnt show up. i remember whin i first installed gameex there was an option to view it, now its gone. Any help would be great!! frank

im having the same esc'ing problem, whenever i exit a game, it brings me right to the desktop, but the stranger thing is i have the setting turned off for esc to shutdown gameex.

i switched the emulator to run in full screen, problem solved!!! Thanks guys! Frank

yes, thats it, i can see the window for nestopia, but then kicks right back to gameex. I'll try the full screen trick too. frank

its on all the games, one day it was working fine, then the next it boots out, but its not to to an error. When your playing nestopia regulary, if you hit esc it asks are you sure you want to exit. When gameex is running, this message pops up right away and then it exits, if i try to play the same game out of gameex, its work fine. I'll have to go on the other pc to get the config file. frank

hey guys, i recently ran into a weird problem with nestopia, when i try to run it through gameex it loads the screen up, then it immediatly exits, its like im pressing the esc key but im not. If i load it up without gameex it runs fine! Any ideas? Im using a slikstik quad with esc mapped as start 1 then pause. and i know there re no stuck keys frank
