  1. ok cant see where your refering to massop. I cant see any settings for control panel path only for MAME and that is pictures of the different original control panels for the games. Frequency - thats extra software and my cab already shows the button config for mame games I just want the same thing for the snes games but for one I cant find the image that is used but it must be somewhere in the mame config for it to pop up. secondly where do I tell gameex to use it in the emulator config?? thanks Colin
  2. I notice on Mame when you goto play a game a picture comes up of a control panel like mine with what buttons do what for the game your playing. Is this feature only for mame or can I set it up for all my other games such as snes emulator ones? Secondly Is there a way to setup all my swp quiz games under one heading like you do with the roms as ive been doing each one as a new menu item and its taking its time and im running out of slots on the menu so feel im doing it wrong. Anyone got vids of their setups? thanks again Colin
  3. I just wanted to update this post. This is now working so thanks for all your help but I wanted to give Brian a special mention as he has been a big help doing work behind the scenes. Top Man Brian!!!! thanks again everyone. Colin
  4. Right done that but still no joy. Get the snes games menu and only thing listed is zip file, if I click on that the screen changes which again says mario kart but also underneath says "add to favourites" which you cant select and then under that is a list of all the roms within that zipped file.
  5. But thats the thing it IS broke LOL OK bit of an update, I put the zip file back in and went to "nintendo snes games" and the 1 zipped file shows under gameex but none fof the other smc files. If I select the zipped file then gameex creates a folder called "unzipped" in the roms directory and then goes back to the gameex screen with again the name of the zipped file and then a list of all the roms within that zipped archive but there is no way to select them so now what?? thanks again.
  6. yep it was on *.* which should show everything but got nothing so changed to *.smc and still nothing . Wife playing the cab now but will try putting a zip file back in after and see if that shows.
  7. OK ive been playing with it this morning and I have ran znes and loaded a rom (it recognises smc files only) and up pops Mario Kart in a window, I messed about with the config and got it to go full screen then messed about with the input and set up the keys and the game plays fine I extracted all the zip files so all I have is smc files and I deleted the zip files from the rom directory. I then think I setup Gameex but although I get the menu and have "nintendo snes games" when I click on it I just then get a blank page with nothing there not one rom is listed, so ive obviously done something wrong....but what. Does gameex maybe not see the smc files as when there was zip files it seemed to see them. looking forward to your help. thanks Colin
  8. Abit late now as off to bed but will play about with it tomorrow. Im happy to purchase a licence for my own use but obviously want to make sure it does everything Im expecting or wanting it to do so rest assured if I get this working then I will buy my own licence, im all for supporting everyone and it wasnt my intention to come on here to mislead anyone which is why I quite willingly sent the registry files so that we can sort this out. OK I will leave this until tomorrow and then maybe you can help me get these emulators working on it as so far im quite impressed with what it seems to be able to do. One thing though I notice theres only about 5 Emulator groups and another 40+ extra buttons to link games or emulators too but that doesnt seem enough or can you add more or maybe im doing something wrong.......anyway now ive been given the ok to talk too we can tackle it tomorrow. thanks again for your help so far. Colin
  9. Anyone.......
  10. OK file sent.
  11. PM sent, cant attatch files.
  12. I understand mate, honestly I wasnt trying to be difficult, I just didnt think it would be right naming a person on a public forum. Right so now I just need the help. Btw I notice if you purchase the software you get updates for certain amount of time, how can I tell what version I have to see if its well out of date or not? thanks Colin
  13. Sorry mate I dont mean to sound dodgy. I didnt purchased the key myself as before I got the cab up and running I had never even heard of Gameex. I purchased the cab as a mame cab from the internet which is a used old William Hill touch screen betting cab thats been stripped and converted. This is no way connected to anyone manufacturing cabs so hope that answers your questions, if not then let me know. thanks Colin
  14. Right ive got the pc game sorted now YAY and ive also sorted the swp games so decided to play with the other emulators on the menu starting with SNES. The config points to an emulator called "zsnes" which wasnt even installed so I installed that but again there was no snes roms so first question.....do I keep the snes roms in the zip file or will it be ok just to use the .smc file?? I set up the menu system and pointed it to a folder of zip files and when you launch gameex and goto "Snes Games" you then get the two roms listed so its recognised them but when I launch the game, the screen flashes and goes back to the menue but this time with a description about the game but thats it, you click on the game again it just does the same so something isnt quite right Any ideas?
  15. ok I found out what was wrong with the swp games, theres a emulators group and in there you have to put the game numbers seperated by semi colons and the two single games werent in that list. I added their numbers and now they are all in the same group Not tried the pc game yet so will do that later. tbh id rather not say who I purchased the cab from but I can say it was purchased privately not from a company. thanks again Colin
