  1. Amen sir. Worked. How much to fly you out here and set my system up completely? Next question: What is the point of the GameEx Map files for each emulator/system if you don't have all the roms? Whenever I select one of the map files it shows tons of games in GameEx that I just don't have.
  2. This happened after I switched from Gens+ to Fusion. I have checked to make sure the correct rom paths have been specified - they have. I have no roms in my Master System rompath, perhaps they got flip-flopped somehow? Anyway, resetting to the correct rom path has no effect. Any help, as always, much appreciated.
  3. The ATI card solved the problem. GameEx now runs at any resolution I want it to. Currently running 1080i@96hz.
  4. I tried 720p at 48hz and it worked. Would really like 1080p at 48hz though for watching blu-rays. Just ordered an ATI 4650, hopefully it will work correctly with that card.
  5. No, I haven't tried 1080 at 60 or 75hz but I'll see if I can get 60hz working to verify that it is in fact a problem caused by the refresh rate. Aside from GameEx everything else runs perfectly at 48hz.
  6. Draco, you have a display connected to your GameEx box capable of 1080p at 48hz? I've done the driver thing and the directx thing, but can try a couple more drivers.
  7. GameEx.txt That is the ini. Thanks guys.
  8. logfile.txt That is the logfile when laumchimg gameex with no resolution specified. Video card is an 8400gs.
  9. This problem came about when i switched from 720p at 60hz to 1080p at 48hz. When a resolution is specified the program will load for some themes but mot others. Mame games will not load from GameEx. A series of beeps is heard then it reverts to the menu. runitgame.bat laumches the mame game fine however. Anybody have any clues besides 'dont run at 48hz'? Thanks
  10. For cdi's, change the Gd-Rom plugin to gdrImage, then try.
  11. My very recent experience with Naomi emulators has had me settle on makaron. I tried makaron nulldc and Demul, many versions of each. Demul would be the best because it is the only one that supports screen rotation for ikaruga. However Demul had audio issues on my setup. Makaron runs well enough with functioning audio but the controls for keyboard are a pain to set up. You have to enter what I assume are hex codes for each key in a text file. Not all keys are available either. For instance I ran into the problem of not being able to assign the equals key. Another issue with makaron, it does not support keyboard input for dreamcast, only naomi. By the way Brian, I wound up reassigning all of my buttons differently from the default name settings. People hitting alt enter in 4 player games got old real fast.
  12. Brian, nothing is simple when it comes to emulation! ;-) Well I've got a 4-player setup with 14 "switches" per player. What are the chances I can use 56 keys on the keyboard and have nullDC support them all? If I only needed 40 keys for dreamcast with 4 players, what are the chances then? It becomes a trial and error nightmare of "does this key work with nulldc?" boot, fail, try again. But it's a moot point anyway because I gave the 360 control pad a shot and turns out nullDC Dreamcast just does not run acceptably for Gauntlet Legends or Soul Calibur. However, my NAOMI games run pretty well: Guilty Gear XX Reload, Marvel vs Capcom 2, ikaruga, and Capcom Vs SNK 2. I'm using: 2.2ghz AMD Opteron 64 sock 939 (dual core) 2GB DDR-400 Nvidia 8600 GTS 256mb on Win 7 Enterprise 64-bit Thanks anyway for your input.
  13. I have been trying to use GameEx as my one-stop shop and have been setting the emulators up for a couple weeks now, with mixed success. For the past four days I have been trying to get a Dreamcast emulator running so I can play games like Soul Calibur and Gauntlet Legends with my arcade joysticks and buttons. I got NAOMI working with Makaron, however I could never get Dreamcast to work with Makaron. I could get nullDC optimized -r133 to run the Dreamcast games, but there seems to be no way to configure the controls to work with mame control defaults. (L shift L alt Space etc). I have searched high and low, is there any way to get nullDC to work on a keyboard with the mame controls? I do have some wireless 360 controllers and a windows wireless receiver for them, but I would much rather use the arcade sticks. Thanks PS: I have tried Demul 55 64-bit, Demul 56 32-bit, nulldc 103, 104, 108, r133, makaron t12, makaron ex 3.0 and all have been failures for one reason or the other.
