    I also have a LCD monitor 17", works perfect and to be able to colorize different tables DMD's is a neat feature which is not possible with a real DMD. I believe that a real DMD is brighter and have a higher intensity than any LCD also, it enables the cabs top to go down as designed while (in my case anyways) how the LCD mounts the monitor populates a bit in the main body which would make it crack. But I take the monitor out when folding is needed (3 times in 10 years) :') I say: go with a inexpensive LCD and upgrade later if you feel the need. Cheers
