On a related note - I am running a slikstik classic on my cab with GameEx and have a few questions First, my middle "mouse" button often gets pressed accidentally when gaming and it opens the "view controls" screen that you see from the main game menus. Is there a way to shut this off, so as not to keep interrupting game play? Second, I know that you created a listing on the docs page of what buttons you can use to work your way through GameEx (e.g. volume up, next song, etc.) but I have found that most of the keys listed don't correspond to GameEx as they are listed. What is the best way to change GameEx to more accurately fit my Slikstik? Thanks for any help you can provide. Jon
  2. Works perfectly now - thanks for the info. jon
  3. I have a slikstik classic on my cab and I can't seem to get the trackball and spinner up and running. In games like centipede and marble madness (classic trackball games) I am forced to use my joystick. I have tried to change the inputs for each game but I haven't had any luck with it. What am I missing? How can I set up MAME in general to recognize my trackball and spinner for my games or do I have to set it up for each individual game. Thanks for the help. Jon
  4. I have a dedicated computer running mame with GameEx as my front end. Right now whenever I want to turn on my computer and start playing games I have to open up the front of my cabinet to hit my computer power button. I would rather not leave the computer on all the time and was thinking that one way to do this would be to set up GameEx to hibernate my computer directly from the front end. I know GameEx has the ability to enter directly into Stand By from the program. Unfortunately, whenever I try to set my computer to standby it goes into standby and then restarts immediately. Does anyone know how to change this so that instead of going to standby I can hibernate my computer instead? Is there a better way to turn my computer on and off without having to open the front of my cabinet each time?
  5. I just finished my cabinet after almost two years, a baby and alot of grief from my wife about the monstrosity that was sitting in the corner of our basement. It is a monstrosity no more!! Now it is a real life arcade machine. The only problem is that a number of my games appear sideways on the screen. As you can imagine, this makes it difficult to play Pac-man. I am running Game Ex with MAME 0.105 on Windows XP and the roms I have are version 0.104. Could the older roms be causing the video issues? I know that I have MAME32 (v.104) also installed and don't have the same video issues. Is there anyway to fix this or do I need to get a new set of roms. Jon P.S. Game Ex rocks.
  6. Just installed MAME 0.105 on computer running XP and a number of the games are running sideways on the screen. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated.
  7. Hi Tom, I have tried to set up Game Ex on a dedicated MAME computer with no internet connection. Unfortunately, I can't get past the "nag screen" when it talks about the benefits of registering and also links to the donation page. Do I need to have internet access to run Game Ex. Is there anything I can do to register my usage of the program from another computer and get past the nag screen. Thanks in advance for the help. Jon
