    info page no

Hey, i have the info page disabled by default (so i can load games quicker) i want the info page available for the nes emulator, as the set i have has multiple versions for each of the roms :/ so at the moment it shows about 5 copies of each of the games so i set "disable info page = no" for nes, but i still dont get the info page? if i have it on globally then it would normally mean i could select the rom and then select the version. another question, why does it always have to reload the databases each time it launches ? i never change the roms i add, so id rather be able to manually rebuild the database (like mame) and save the 2-3 seconds each time it decides randomly to rebuilt it?
  2. they added mouse support recently (after july sometime i think) and i have read that people have got this to "work" using the built in method. I just cannot find any instructions on how to do so, or work it out for myself
  3. Has anybody gotten the mouse support to work with nulldc? im trying to use it so I can use my aimtrak with the shooters. I select under plugins, mouse and then under maple I can it says mouse, but how do you configure the keys etc? surely its used as a secondary device, any way cant find anything on google... can anyone help ?
  4. hey man, I would defintely recommend setting up "GPPO" and "supercade.net" supercade has support for loads of games and they are both very active.
  5. request: Under more games/applications, an option to have sub categories under there, where we could place out apps. So i'd like to have "scripts" "online gaming" "PC Games" for example thanks
  6. come to the hub and try it out on your cab again, see if we can help figure out what's wrong
  7. mamehub is now released - http://10ghost.blogspot.com/ everyone go download it and we can start playing MK online etc )
  8. looks like they are implementing a front end for client/server mame, so only a matter of time hopefully chrisc, tried joining your games today, one got through to saying 'waiting for players' but then it exit again
  9. the only thing i enable is 'shutdown' and 'restart' this stops friends going to 'exit' by mistake and going in to windows if i want to go in windows for maintenance i just kill game ex with - alt+ f4 - bit dirty but it works
  10. yeah i have exit mapped for start 1 + start 2, which is how i exit every emulator. for some reason it doesnt exit properly when using youtube..
  11. still don't understand how you are meant to exit out of a you tube video. select you tube video, mplayer starts, if press my back button it doesnt nothing. if i press exit, it still plays the video in the background with game ex flashing.. really weird
  12. How else do you launch an external application via gameex, without going in to the menu 'external applications' or whatever it's called ? perhaps you misunderstood what i meant, I just set up batch files to call the ggpo binary, for supercade i just launch firefox with the supercade link
  13. Cab here, got in to emulation back in 97/98 with nes emulators, things moved on from there. About a year ago I started looking at arcade cabinets and realised there was a big scene for people making MAME machines.. I then searched around for a front end that was light and looked cool and stuck it on an old small dell pc and put it in the living room plugged in to the TV, got 4 joypads and played away.. Then I thought right ive done that.. now I need to see how much an arcade cabinet is and how easy it is to build one. I'm rubbish at woodwork so I bought a cabinet and started converting it, they dont take up much space, as much as fridge freezer, there's always a corner for one to live! I would definitely recommend getting a cabinet as you will use it far more, it feels more authentic and your friends will love it.. Then you can start playing online games as well via your cabinet... good times www.youtube.com/aletchet
  14. If you enter mame netplay, you will only see hosted games, ive only ever seen one hosted once and I check fairly often most people dont seem to use it I've also added links to execute GPPO and supercade via external applications, these are far more active. Supercade now has support for about 100 games or so. I show gppo via gameex in my video youtube.com/aletchet if you are interested - thats where i am playing 3rd strike
  15. Also how are you meant to exit the youtube video once it plays? my back button or exit, really screws things up.. it plays the video while flashing back to gameex - im running xp as well.. alt f4 kills the mplayer and gameex
