  5. not from me but its on the mameworld.net news so i put it here for you all ChrisQC Hey all, ClientServerMAME and ClientServerMESS 0.8 have been released. You can grab them here: https://github.com/MisterTea/ClientServerMAME/downloads 0.8 is a complete rewrite from scratch, but the basic premise is the same: A desync-free, low latency multiplayer support of MAME and MESS emulators over the internet. The main difference between 0.7 and 0.8 is that 0.8 uses a peer-to-peer network architecture for distributing player inputs, and only uses the client-server architecture for correcting desyncs, so latency is much lower and desyncs are rare. I've made a video showing ClientServerMESS running Super Mario Kart on an internet simulator, check it out here: I'm working on a program called MAMEHub that will allow players to meet and arrange games. MAMEHub provides a GUI interface to CSMAME, so people will not have to mess with the command line parameters. MAMEHub also checks to see if you have correctly forwarded port 5805 to your PC, and will warn you if it is not correctly forwarded. MAMEHub is currently not ready for public release, but is in an alpha testing phase. If you wish to be part of the closed alpha test, please email me or send me a PM. For more details and updates, check out my blog: http://10ghost.blogspot.com/ I try to squash as many bugs as possible but with so many emulators and roms, I'm sure there are bugs out there. If you find any, please post a comment here or on the blog. Posted by Digitalghost at 08:58 PM
  6. Thanks
  7. i noticed something since the 2 last update of gameex...sometime when i try to go the the net play list i got a "not available" instead of a "no game" ...and sometime it freeze when i try to go to the netplay list ...one time it froze so bad i got to reboot my cab
  8. i don't see any game in the list ,i will host it try to join me
  9. funny ...i got 4 to 8 request a day but i'm the only one to host a game :S does that make sense ?
  10. thats propably why it does not work direcX update maybe or try to reinstall vmame or...a fresh format ?
  11. 3. Enable Client/Server MAME in the "SETUP WIZARD" under "custom" option. then make sure your path and exe are correct in the "Advance MAME" setup in Advanced Config. 5. To start serving a game make sure you have port 5805 UDP allowed on your ROUTER and Windows Firewall or use upnp ( vista and windows 7 run GameEx in Admin mode one time so it will configure windows firewall all by itself ) 6. once in GameEx select "MAME" from the main menu you should now see a new option "MAME NetPlay" this is the list of hosted online game that you can connect to as a Client 7. to Host a game choose "All MAME Games", select a game from the list, then in the Game Info screen select "Request NetPlay".
  12. last test didn't work too ... wich windows are you using ? if its vista or seven try to make your mame.ini open a command prompt "in administrator mode" and your file should be created using the command vmame.exe -cc
  13. some say that you don't need a config file
  14. sorry after 3 shot i was pissed off and did not reply anymore lol update your client/server to 0.7c and we will test again also check if your 5805 port is open on both router and windows firewall or else it won't ever work
