  1. Oh really? what does Mednafen do over Magic Engine? I mean, I'm definitely open to it. Its just that Magic Engine is all I've used and its done a great job so far. Is the commandline the same for mounting as it is with Magic Engine? And will it allow for bypassing whatever frontend Mednafen uses when mounting an iso? Thanks!
  2. Sorry to dig this old thread up but I having this issue and its not very clear here on how it was fixed. I also get the frontend of Magic Engine whenever I start an iso up. Anyone around that can help me? Other than that, everything works great. Thanks!
  3. Yeah, I know, but I didn't want to be "that guy" that cries before he even tried. Thanks for the welcome feel here!
  4. I can't believe this! HA! The only thing I didn't try was starting over and reinstalling. So in my frustration, I did so. I reinstalled GameEX and Daemon Tools. After that, I removed the [Virtualdrive] as fRequEnCy suggested. Now everything works perfectly! Even PSX which I newly installed. I bet it was a mounting conflict. And I dont know what reinstalling GameEX could have undone that I did before but what counts is that it works now. Thanks for the help!
  5. Hmm, I didn't know GameEx had a mounting integration. I figured [virtualdrive] was a command for mounting software that the user supplied. I remember seeing that GameEx had iso support now that I think of it and I remember searching for where option enabled/disabled and I couldn't find it. Could you please tell me where? Anyway, I removed the [VirtualDrive] line and its still doing it. No change. =( Maybe I can try disabling the integrated mounting but I don't know where that option is.
  6. Hi, guys. I hope someone can help me with this. I've been reading these forums, searching, and working on this for almost 10 hours now. I can't get GameEx to launch just about all my Saturn games with 2 exceptions. To start....here is my Saturn.ini: [Emulator_19] Enabled=True System=Sega Saturn Category=Console Emulator=SSF Version=Ver0.11 alpha R1 Rating= DownloadUrl=http://www.gamesdbase.com/setupwizard/emulators/download/SSF.7z RequiredFiles=Bios - SEGA_101.BIN and stv110.bin (512kb each) Website=http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~phantasy/ssf/index.html Info=Sega Saturn emulator TITLETEXT=Sega Saturn STARTPAGENAME=Sega Saturn (SSF) StartPageLogo=Sega Saturn Command=SSF.exe [-VIRTUALDRIVE-] ROMFilter= DATABASE=[Console] Sega Saturn configFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close) MAPFile= RomPath=D:\-=EMULATION=-\Sega Saturn\SSF_010_alpha\Sega Saturn SnapPath=C:\Assets\Sega Saturn\Snaps TitlePath=C:\Assets\Sega Saturn\Titles BoxPath=C:\Assets\Sega Saturn\Boxes CartPath=C:\Assets\Sega Saturn\Cartridges ManualPath=C:\Assets\Sega Saturn\Manuals ControlPanelPath=C:\Assets\Sega Saturn\Controls WorkingPath=D:\-=EMULATION=-\Sega Saturn\SSF_010_alpha MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=False ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=False RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=True Debug=False AlsoLaunch= LaunchBefore=""C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -mount 0,"[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"" LaunchAfter="C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -unmount 0 ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground=saturnbak.png PlayMusic=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelectionMusic=False SelectionMusicFolder= PCGame=False GamesIn7Zips=False PlayInScreenSaver=False ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=True CDCheck=False CDCheckFile= RomsInFolders=False InstructionsPath= UseDbName= MergeSets= CustomArtName1= CustomArtPath1= CustomArtName2= CustomArtPath2= CustomArtName3= CustomArtPath3= If you look at my ini file you will notice the double quotes after "Launch Before". I know they are only supposed to be one set there and I delete it, but it keeps reappearing after I close the Advanced Configuration (the one independent of the setup wizard). In the setup wizard, the correct line is there. I don't know if this has anything to do with my problems, but its something I noticed. I have games in various formats of iso. But only 2 .msf/mds. I use Daemon Tools Lite and every Saturn game OUTSIDE of GameEX launches perfectly. Image formats .iso, .msf/.mds, bin/cue...they all run fine. However, in GameEx, only the 2.mdf/.mds formatted games I have run, and half the time at that. .iso and bin/cue will never run. The screen goes black and promptly returns to GameEX. I've tried 3 or 4 versions of SSF and its the same thing. Heres my ini for TurboGrafx CD: [Emulator_7] Enabled=True System=NEC TurboGrafx CD Category=Console Emulator=MagicEngine Version=1.1.3 Rating= DownloadUrl=http://www.gamesdbase.com/setupwizard/emulators/download/magicengine.7z RequiredFiles= Website=http://www.magicengine.com/ Info=NEC Turbographix 16 emulator TitleText=NEC TurboGrafx CD StartPageName=NEC TurboGrafx CD (MagicEngine) StartPageLogo=NEC PC Engine Command=pce.exe "syscard3.pce" [-VIRTUALDRIVE-] RomFilter=*.iso;*.cue Database=[Console] NEC TurboGrafx CD ConfigFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close) MapFile= RomPath=D:\-=EMULATION=-\ROMS\Turbografx CD SnapPath=C:\Assets\NEC TurboGrafx CD\Snaps TitlePath=C:\Assets\NEC TurboGrafx CD\Titles BoxPath=C:\Assets\NEC TurboGrafx CD\Boxes CartPath=C:\Assets\NEC TurboGrafx CD\Cartridges ManualPath=C:\Assets\NEC TurboGrafx CD\Manuals ControlPanelPath=C:\Assets\NEC TurboGrafx CD\Controls WorkingPath=D:\-=EMULATION=-\Turbografx 16\Emulator\Magic Engine MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=False ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=False RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=True Debug=False AlsoLaunch= LaunchBefore=""C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -mount 0,"[rompath]\[romfile]"" LaunchAfter="C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -unmount 0 ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground=turbografxbak.png PlayMusic=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelectionMusic=False SelectionMusicFolder= PCGame=False GamesIn7Zips=False PlayInScreenSaver=False ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=True CDCheck=False CDCheckFile= MergeSets=False Again, same story with the quotes. I can launch everything just fine outside of GameEx but this time NOTHING will launch within it. Though I got it to launch only once (and I don't know how) but it only launched the Magic Engine front end. Is it supposed to do that? I thought it was supposed to boot the mounted game. So I don't get it, I can get Sega CD to working perfectly....heres the ini for that for comaparison sake: [Emulator_8] Enabled=True System=Sega CD Category=Console Emulator=Fusion Version=3.63 Rating= DownloadUrl=http://www.gamesdbase.com/setupwizard/emulators/download/Fusion.7z RequiredFiles=eu_mcd1_9210.bin,jp_mcd1_9112.bin,us_scd1_9210.bin Website=http://www.eidolons-inn.net/tiki-index.php?page=Kega Info=Fusion(formerly known as Kega II and Kega Fusion) is a Sega SG1000, SC3000, Master System, Game Gear, Genesis/Megadrive, SegaCD/MegaCD and 32X emulator TitleText=Sega CD StartPageName=Sega CD (Fusion) StartPageLogo=Sega CD Command=Fusion.exe -scd -fullscreen "[ROMPath]\[RomFile]" RomFilter=*.iso;*.cue Database=[Console] Sega CD ConfigFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (Process Close) MapFile= RomPath=D:\-=EMULATION=-\ROMS\Sega CD\Roms SnapPath=C:\Assets\Sega CD\Snaps TitlePath=C:\Assets\Sega CD\Titles BoxPath=C:\Users\saiyan23\Desktop\Emulators - Hyperspin\HyperSpin\Media\Sega CD\Images\Artwork2 CartPath=C:\Assets\Sega CD\Cartridges ManualPath=C:\Assets\Sega CD\Manuals ControlPanelPath=C:\Assets\Sega CD\Controls WorkingPath=D:\-=EMULATION=-\Sega Genesis\Emulators\Fusion MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=False ReplaceUnder=True Capitals=False RemoveBrackets=True ShowDesktop=False Debug=False AlsoLaunch= LaunchBefore=""C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -mount 0,"[rompath]\[romfile]"" LaunchAfter="C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools Lite\DTLite.exe" -unmount 0 ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground=segacdbak.png PlayMusic=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelectionMusic=False SelectionMusicFolder= PCGame=False GamesIn7Zips=False PlayInScreenSaver=False ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=True CDCheck=False CDCheckFile= MergeSets=False RomsInFolders=True I really appreciate the help guys, as I said, I've been working on this for sometime now. It's very likely that I missed something as this stuff starts to blur together after a while. SO I guess I need a fresh pair of eyes. Thanks again.
  7. Hi guys, I'm coming from hyperspin and the one thing I didn't like was the way that the titles of the screenshots and the rom had to be identical. I heard that GameEx didnt have such a restriction. But my question is how? For starters, I have the GoodNES 3.14 set (.7z archived) and I've downloaded the Dat file for NES and the NES screenshot collection from the No-Intro website here: http://no-intro.dlgsoftware.net/main.php?lang=1 Or should I have downloaded the DAT file from Dat-o-matic here: http://datomatic.no-intro.org/ I've already run the "No-Intro Image Renamer" to convert the "CRC_Snaps/Titles" to "Named_Snaps/Titles" How do I use clrmamepro or other programs to match up with my newly renamed snapshots and roms which number 16,000.... but I don't want 16,000 roms in a directory and that leads to my next question. I realize that the "[!]" indicates a perfect dump. So how can I filter all of those out of my NES Rom directory? I'm using Windows 7 and the search bar frankly sucks, whenever i search for "[!]" or "(U)" I get everything but. Thanks in advance for all the help guys, I'm truly stumped!
