    Almost There!

Working on a complete cab with flight sticks, rotary knobs, trackball, etc. Got my new IPAC hooked up and told GameEX to use IPAC support. All the buttons on the machine test fine and even the keyboard tests fine through the IPAC software. But when I launch GameEX or even MAME, I cant exit or "Back" out of a game after being selected. Doesn't work on keyboard or the cabinet buttons. HELP! Am I doing something wrong. I am not using a Slickstick but am using a Gameport adapter to USB for the flightstick I got from HAPP. Any ideas? Thanks.
  2. No not that. I should probably fill in some blanks. I have been using MAME for years and the default keyboard commands like insert credit were by pressing 5 on the keyboard and 1 to start, fairly straight-forward. But recently I uploaded a pre-compiled version and now my keyboard commands that I was used to do not work. 6 now inserts credit but I cant figure out start button. How can I see the keyboard configuration or reset it back to the default, what I am used to. Thanks.
  3. How can I go into MAME and set up the custom keyboard commands ie; start, credit, move right, etc. Thanks
  4. MAME games. Would like to edit the list displayed on the screen. You know, some have ()'s or version ID's. Would be a nice feature to add directly into EX. So if I go into the data.mdb I could edit the MAME titles I see on the screen?

    Mame Compiler 64

Drakendoder, you are a gentleman, scholar and may good fortune light your path forever....it works. Oh I love 64 bit, so much smoother with no nags. Thank you very much.
  6. I've tried 4 times now to compile my own MAME using Mame Compiler 64. Using Windows 7 64 bit. Used the instuctions at Headsoft web site, just updated the Mame versions. When I go to compile, it looks like everything is going smooth. But when it finishes there is supposed to be a mame.exe at the end of the rainbow, but no mame.exe. Is there some great soul out there that could either compile a 64 bit AMD Quad core no nag version for me or get me the serious idiots guide on how to do this. I just don't want to see those dang nag screens anymore. Thanks...
  7. Where is the file I need to edit to change my names in the list. Also, has anybody had success compiling AMD quad core 64 bit for Win 7? Tried twice with no success. Thanks.
  8. Thank You.
  9. If you go into REGEDIT at command prompt, you can R-Click on a Registry key or hive and take permissions of the set of keys.
  10. Tried, had several problems. Using Win 7 64 bit. Some issues. So no there is no way to send the "OK" command for the keyboard to bypass error or warning screens?
  11. I accidently deleted a game from my list. How can I go back in and add it back to the list. Thanks.
  12. Is there a way to send a command prompt to press the "OK" keys to disable CHS's not working correctly before launching game in MAME? Thanks
  13. In Windows, go to Control Panel - User Accounts - Change User Account Control Settings - Set slider to never notify

    New to Game EX

Thanks. Was getting stuck on setting video options. Is there any way to have all MAME games and Daphne games on one master list. Kills the arcade cab effect if I have to toggle from emulator to emulator. Also, is there a way to send a command to MAME that would be "OK" command to bypass the warning screens for ROMS not working correctly.

    New to Game EX

OK. Thanks to all who try to help. Having several issues. Mostly with the Daphne configs. All games work fine when I launch the DaphneLoader and play. But when I try to run through Game EX, I hear the Windows error sound in the background. I have done the command prompt and copied over the data to the Game EX Config for Daphne, no go. Any help welcomed. Thanks
