  1. I had to buy a wireless receiver to get the guitar to work but upon first try, so far so good. Now I gotta figure out why some songs are "bad" and correct those.
  2. Phantom - I was recently made aware of Clone Hero and have been getting the emulator and songs, but it didn't seem to pick up my guitar. Do I need something additional for that? I have an Xbox 360 Rock Band guitar but it's not finding it. I have a USB dongle that I bought for my PS4 controller to be used with the emulators and that supposedly can work on up to 7 devices but so far, no go....
  3. Hi all, Now that I have an arcade cabinet with PS1 and PS2 emulators via a Windows PC, I'm wondering if the various Guitar Hero roms can be played with an actual Guitar Hero guitar. Has anyone been able to do this and if so, how? When I was using an actual PS2 and playing GH, I only used the PS2 controller. It wasn't until I got a 360 and played Rock Band did I have an actual RB guitar. I liked many of the songs GH used and would like to play those via the emulator but would like to get a GH guitar to do so. Is this possible and if so, besides a GH guitar, would I need something else to connect the guitar to the cabinet/PC? Is it a wired connection between the guitar and a USB input on the PC? Any help/advice is appreciated!
  4. Awesome!! Glad we could help you figure it out. I'm still exploring the NeoGeo games myself as I had stopped going to arcades by the time they were getting popular so they're all new to me. Enjoy!
  5. Buzz - have you tried seeing if the NeoGeo games show outside of GameEx in the Mame emulator itself?
  6. Buzz - in your MAME Settings in the Setup Wizard, do you have it set to "Yes" to show NeoGeo Games?
  7. Not sure if you're asking Buzz or me, but if it's me, I'm running .226. I assume you're asking Buzz though.
  8. Buzz - I had the same problem. Look online for the neogeo.zip file and put it in the MAME roms folder and that will cause most if not all of the NeoGeo games to appear. That's what worked for me at least.
  9. Thanks Red Dog. Both you're suggestions led me to be able to resolve the issue. I was able to exit full-screen to get the menu bar and then went into Options>Sound and found no sound device was selected. Once I selected it, sound worked both in Nestopia and via GameEx. so problem solved! Again, thanks so much for your help.
  10. I tried playing them through Nestopia outside of GameEx but when I do that, all I get is a black screen . I'm assuming there should be some sort of menu bar in Nestopia but it's not there. Tried Googling that and didn't find anything that told me how to "turn on" the menu bar so I couldn't fully explore that avenue. Attached are the ini and txt files as requested. GameEx.ini log.txt
  11. Hi, Did some searching online and on this forum and not finding anything that will help. When I run a game via GameEx using Nestopia for NES games, there is no sound at all when in the game. There is sound as I scroll through the games in GameEx but nothing once a game is entered to be played. Any ideas where to start?
  12. FEATURE REQUEST: As suggested by another forum member, here are some additions/alterations I'd love to see in the GameEx Arcade Edition: I'd like to have the ability to create my own custom menus within GameEx. I'm big on organization and filtering, and would love the ability to create a specific menu for Street Fighter games, or Mortal Kombat or Tekken. I'd also like to be able to create a menu for Neo-Geo Fighting Games, one for Pro Wrestling games. As well, I'd like to be able to create menus for various game publishers i.e. Capcom, Konami, Taito, Data East, etc. Is this a possibility to be included in a future Arcade Edition update?
  13. Hi everyone, I recently had a cabinet/system designed and built for me by Ultimate Home Arcades here in Az and we're using GameEx Arcade Edition which I love. I do however, want to create some custom menus and have done some looking here on the forum for advice, but if I'm reading things right, this is not doable or at least not as easily doable as it was in the first GameEx version. Is this correct, or is there a way to create custom menus? I love organization and would like to have the option of creating my own menus (i.e. one for pro wrestling games, or one for Street Fighter, or maybe menus for various game publishers such as Capcom, or Konami, etc.) Do we have the ability to do this and if so, can someone direct me as to how? If it cannot be done, is this something Tom is considering for future updates? Thanks for any help/answers.
