  1. lol, I've been running vista builds since beta 1. But for some reason with a clean install of vista and a fresh install of gameex, I get an error and am unable to run it. Tom, that stuff should auto install or at least it should with a windows update. Most of the drivers are finally moving out of beta as of today.
  2. Well vista is finally out. Did Tom get a copy!?! Couple of things I am wondering is if the next version of gameex will be tailored to look like the new vista theme or maybe even if there's going to be a vista and and xp version of it now? Anyways, if Tom doesn't have a copy of it yet, maybe we could setup a donations pool for him.
  3. Hey tom, just letting you know that .NET framework 3.0 is out. I wasn't sure if you already had this or if you were even planning on using it for game ex. I know this isn't the SDK but at least it's the runtime. "The Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 is the new managed code programming model for Windows®. It combines the power of the .NET Framework version 2.0 with new technologies for building applications that have visually compelling user experiences, seamless communication across technology boundaries, and the ability to support a wide range of business processes. These new technologies are Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows Communication Foundation, Windows Workflow Foundation, and Windows CardSpace. The .NET Framework 3.0 is included as part of the Windows Vista operating system; you can install it or uninstall it using Windows Features Control Panel. This redistributable package is for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. The Microsoft® .NET Framework version 3.0 redistributable package installs the common language runtime and associated files required to run applications developed to target the .NET Framework 3.0." http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;displaylang=en
  4. Is there going to be a new version all together or just a new theme for game ex when vista comes out? I was just curious. Thanx guys!
  5. Hey Tom, any more work going into that joypad stuff that I showed you? Just wondered if it was still a work in progress or not. Thanks!
  6. Yea that's the way I have it setup right now, but they're still not showing up. Tom, you got any ideas?!?
  7. I have some cover art for my PC games and I told the configuration where it is all stored, but I'm just not sure how to get it working right. I think there's probably some kind of naming scheme that I don't know about. Do I have to rename the .jpg files to something so that gameex knows what picture goes with the right game? Thanks for any help.
  8. You know what would be really sweet is something like this program: Pinnacle Game Profiler. http://www.pinnaclegameprofiler.com/ It's a program that emulates a mouse in games that you want to use a gamepad in. I use GameEx to get to my PC games and I have an Xbox 360 controller that I like to use to play the games, but hardly any of the games support using a gamepad. For now I am using the Pinnacle Game Profiler software, but it's not freeware, and I bet Tom could make a better program anyway! Lets see what you've got!
  9. Thanx for the links... I'll try some of those when I get off work tonight. Also, do any of these support the rumble function of the controller? That would be sweet.
  10. Hey guys, I got an xbox 360 controller for my pc and I want to play all my PC games using it. I can't seem to find any good software to program all the buttons to act like a keyboard and mouse. I need to use this software in conjunction with gameex. Thanx for any suggestions! Also, does anyone know of any good PC games with native gamepad support?
  11. what emulator is supported for NES games? I am using RockNESX right now and it doesn't seem to be working. Also, does anyone know of a good Genesis emulator? Thanx a lot for any help.
